Midnight Visit (Marichat)

Homework. That was the only thought in my mind as I lay on my balcony, staring up at the starry sky. Chat and I have been kept busy, with three akumas in the last week, which held the new record. And with all of these sudden attacks, I have had no time to do the dreaded homework that had been assigned. Though somehow, I manage to get it done. Even so, that caused me to stay up into the early hours of the morning, getting almost no sleep for the past week. Thump. I jump awake, not even realizing that i had fallen asleep. I yawn, sitting up, not noticing the familiar cat-boy behind me

"Did I startle you princess?" He purred, sliding himself next to me, arm draping around my shoulder. Normally I would push him away, but at the moment, I was to exhausted to care about our closeness.

"What do you want Chat? I was almost asleep" I mumbled, attempting to stop my eyes from fluttering shut, though this task was one of the most difficult things I had ever done. The boy next to me was extremely warm, though to keep awake I slipped away, for once grateful about the chill of the Paris air.

"It seems like you still are," He let out a soft laugh "And I came to visit you of course, why else would I be here?" A soft sigh escaped my lips as gave in to temptation, leaning against him, taking in his warmth as I looked up at him. A small smile played on his lips as he stared down into my eyes, causing the blood to rush to my face, tinting it red as he leaned close to me, pressing our foreheads together.

"Chat-" I whispered, getting cut off as soon as the first word left my mouth.

"Shh, princess, close your eyes.." He said softly. And surprisingly - for once - I listened to him, my eyes closing slowly. I felt one of his hands on my cheek, the other moved to the small of my back. The few seconds we were both still felt like an eternity, but I soon felt his lips against mine. He pulled me close, shifting so I was now laying on the deck with him hovering over me, our lips still pressed together. My arms soon found their way around his neck, pulling him close. We stayed like this for a few more moments before he pulled away. Both of our faces were dusted red, our breath choppy as we fought to catch it.

"Wow..." I breathed, my eyes fluttering open, finding his emerald orbs the moment that they did.

"My my princess, who knew you were so amazing at that~" He purred, sliding off of me, laying beside me. He wrapped his arms around me as I nestled into his chest.

"Oh shut up Kitty..." I mumbled, slipping in and out of sleep as his body warmed mine. Soon, my mind gave up and i drifted off into a light sleep. He noticed this, and stood, holding me in his arms. He opened the door into my room, jumping down and landing next to my bed. He layed  me down, covering me with the comforter. He pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"Good night mon amour" He whispered, climbing up the ladder, disappearing into the night.

The next morning, the only thing running through my mind as I got ready for school was a certain cat's midnight visit.
