people are judging us.
they chatter.
they gossip.
they babble.
as if they know everything.
walking past through the crowd,
as we hold onto each other's hand,
we were about to escape the scenery,
but then a person appeared,
enough to create an atmosphere.
as he chases his breath,
it made me question,
did he run his way here?
without any warning,
he pulled you away from me,
causing me to free your hand.
"what do you think you were doing?" he growls.
"f-father...." you stutter.
"calm down mister—"
i was about to protect you,
just like i promised.
but then he pulled you in his arms,
full of worry,
full of guilt,
full of love.
"don't make me worry again like that, okay?" your father said, as both of his eyes start to swell, "i don't want to lose you too, so please don't leave me."
"f-father...." you then cried, hugging him back, "im sorry, im really sorry."
"no, im the one who should apologize. my daughter, im sorry for everything." he said, as he hugs you more tightly.
in that very moment,
i learned,
i wasn't completely lying at all.
