I Had totally forgotten about Gunner. The anxiousness of trying to find her ebbs at my self consciousness. I wanted to go find our house. As I climbed to our floor in an elevator the him of the hover cars engines keeps repeating in my head. Like a fully stuck in a glass jar. The ding of the elevator signals that I should get out. I rush out of the elevator. I have to immediately halt to the scrambling of people. The sound of screams and tapping feet ring inside my ear. I look for a way through. More of a straight line. I see it! I hesitate and my muscles tighten. I rush through. I wasted time. A cold sweaty body crashes into. I fall leftward knocking into another person with my head. I lose balance and I become dizzy and light headed. I sit there wobbling in between a moving mass of bodies. I cradle my head in my hand. I close my eyes but that was a mistake. I person rushes past me. I notice the person because I smell a faint perfume. I open my eyes. The person has bumped into another crashing into me. I fall back. My stomach caves in. I fall banging my head onto someone's feet. They trip, rocketing onto the top of my forehead. My head rings. I turn onto my stomach and scramble to my feet. I go back to the elevator. Next thing I know another bomb goes off. Toppling a building down. I look to my left. A building slowly crashes down in between the building I'm in. It crashes sending debris of glass and broken wall. I am sent flying back into the elevator. The heel of my foot bumps a button. Ding. The elevator doors slowly close. I flip up. I put my feet in between the doors so they open back up. The elevator jerks up. The gears coming alive and shifting into their places. I hesitate. I want to jump out to get to my house but what's the point. Gunner is gone, my parents are dead. I have no siblings. No house. Nothing to hold onto. So I jump. Not to go to my house. But to end my life. I jump out. The light from the opening on this level shines out onto the wall in front of it. I zoom past it. I close my eyes. My arms flail out into nothing. Nothing but air. That's how my entire body felt when everything ended.
