"Valerie, Paul is quite taken with you!" Cynthia says as we sit at a table close to the stage.

"You think so?" You ask timidly looking in the direction of the bar where the boys were gitting the drinks.

"It's quite obvious! And may I also mention its obvious you like him too." Says Pattie winking.

"I don't like Paul!" Biggest lie ever.

"We're best friends!" You say.

"Yeah, friends with benefits." Maureen states.

We all look at her a bit suprised.

"Umm.. No. Thats way off.." You tell her.

She just shrugs. Why was Maureen acting weird? She never has before.

Your thoughts are interupted by the guys coming back with drinks in their hands.

"Here love." Paul holds out your drink in front of you and you reach for it.

"Thanks Paul." You smile at him. Your fingers touch for a brief moment sending shivers up your arm.

You notice some goosebumps on his arm as well as he sits down next to you.

You smile to yourself again, loving the fact that he gets the same feeling you do. Either that or he was cold but that wasn't very likely, since right behind you was a toasty fireplace.

"I love it when you do that." He whispers softly in your ear, so that only you could hear him.

"Do what?"

"Smile."

You never realized this before, but now that you think about it, he has always been so kind to you. Always doing you favours, holding doors, bringing you hot chocolate in your office on cold days. All of this without you even asking you to. Even when you were younger and he always came over to yours and your cousin John's house and John would be out, he would stay with you and the two of you would play guitar, bake, read, write, play piano, listen to the radio, watch the television, everything. The two of you would have the best time in the world. How could you have been so oblivious? Paul was the only man you knew who was this wonderful, and not to mention insanely good looking.

"What a nice place!" Exclaims Ringo.

"Not too shabby." Says George.

"Its amazing!" You hold up your glass in toast, "To Paul, John, George and Ringo for their amazing music."

Everyone else holds up their glasses also.

"And to Valerie, for being a great manager. Couldn't have done any of it without you, Val."

"No, we really wouldn't be where we are right now without you Val." John tells you.

"Awe thanks, I try." You say jokingly and wink. Everyone clicks their glasses.
