"So, are you coming tonight?" he asks as he dangles from the side of my bed.
"Brendon, give it up. I'm not going. I have to study for all these stupid fucking exams," I snapped. I didn't mean to be snarky, but he's been asking me for the past hour. He suddenly turned upright and apologized after walking out. I mumbled a quick fuck as I shut my laptop and close my books.
I walk into the small bathroom and take a look at my appearance. I decide to take a shower. While showering, I hear the door to my dorm open. I quickly rinse the shampoo from my hair and step out. I tie a towel low around my waist. I step out and my eyes immediately spot Brendon looking around, and he stops in his tracks when he heard the bathroom door open.
"Oh hey, I w-," he cut off, noticing I was in a towel. I watched as his eyes slowly fell to the towel sitting on my hips. Feeling self-conscious, I slip back into the bathroom. "Be out in a sec," I yell. I hurry up and put on some pants. I walk out, buttoning up the blue and black flannel I received from back home. I look up from the buttons and look at Brendon. He is flushed a bright red and he quickly mumbled out an apology. I just nodded in response.
"Why'd you shower? You're not going anywhere," he added briskly.
"I felt dirty."
Brendon looked around and he saw that I had put all of my supplies up. He pointed to it and looked at me confused. "Got bored," was my short answer.
I walked over and opened up my laptop. I start typing again, and Brendon hummed to get my attention.
"Is there something you need?"
"I'm just disappointed that you won't go to that party with me," he states as he looks down. He is. I can see it, all over his face.
"I'm sorry, B. You know how important this is to me."
"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry, I'll just go."
Before I can argue, he's already shutting the door behind him. It's only 7:37 and the party is at 8. I have plenty of time to think this through.
