"I told you to get more!" she gritted her teeth
"I-i'm sorry mother! For the last year its been rare to find!!!" Henley screeched
Her eyes darted on Henley.
"Out.." she balled her hand into a fist
"Fine..." Henley storms out the house
Henley POV
Pulling my cape over my head, i walk down an ally.
It was dark but there were patches of light here and there from the stars allowing light
I pull my black cape further down my face.
Uriah POV
My fingers trace the rim of the cup I was cleaning and I sigh. My gaze drifts towards the door to the bar as I faintly hear the small bell jingle, although it was almost inaudible through the loud chatter in the room. The dimly lit area only consisted of hues of yellow, orange or red as all the lights were covered in stained glass. It gave the bar a unique... feeling, per say. A girl suddenly sat across from me in the stool, and she hangs her head, her dark black hair falling over her shoulders. "What would you like?" I say, turning to face her. She looks up, her red eyes sparkling in a dim light, although it wasn't a happy sparkle. Something about her screamed the fact she was not alright. "Tequila." My eyes linger on her face for a moment more before I nod my head and prepare her drink. "What brings you here?" I ask, genuinely
She fiddles with her hair
"just thirsty" Henley croaked
Looking through the stained glass she stares out beyond the traffic of new York
She sighs
Henley glances at the TV as they discuses the accident from the other about the witch break in.
"What do you think about that witch?" the bar tender asks
"I don't really care" Henley bit her lip.
"Alright" I mumble, placing the glass of yellowy liquid on the bar. "Although if you were 'just thirsty' a strong alcoholic beverage wouldn't be the right choice." I chuckle, and I notice the corners of her lips tilt up slightly. "There have been numerous reports of magic relics and potions being stolen by a cloaked figure. Please, if you are a witness to any of these crimes please contact the police immediately, because they are aiming to catch this witch before any hell breaks loose." I hum, acknowledging the news on the TV. "Red eyes are quite unique.. They're pretty."
She jugs down her shot and clicks her fingers in away of asking for more.
The bar tender smiles and pours her another
"Don't drink to much" He smirks
"What else can cure my pain" Henley mumbled
Sliding the shot glass forward she stands up
Uriah POV
As I turn back around her eyes flutter up to mine and I smile, although after hearing a glass smash somewhere in the bar my eyes snap back towards the real world. "DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!" I watched as a middle aged man sat up from his seat and lunged at a younger man, both bumping into a table and tipping glasses of alcohol. "Bloody hell.. every. single. day." I mumble, stepping around the bar.
Henley POV
I walk out the bar and slump my shoulders
as the yelling continues...
