"Hazza, you're up. Niall and I have tried, but Louis continues to spin out of control. If we ever hope to come back from our break without our names completely trashed, he must be stopped. The Sun prints something new every day. This can't go on."
"I know all of this Liam, but how can I help? He barely talks to me. Even at Jay's funeral, I tried to reach out to him; to comfort him, and he treated me like he has for the past three and a half years, like someone he only tolerates because he has to."
"H, I know how much Louis' rejection still stings but you have to at least try. He's going to end up in jail or worse."
Harry sighed. He knew that Liam was right but he wasn't looking forward to any of this. Even after all these years he still didn't understand what had happened to his friendship with Louis. He always came out with the same lame excuse, 'People change'. Harry still wasn't buying it, but Louis was one of the most stubborn people on the planet. It was Louis' story and he was sticking to it.
(Yet another reason why Harry wasn't looking forward to this."Alright," Harry agreed reluctantly. "But if this doesn't work, us three as well as Dan, Lottie and Tommy need to do an intervention."
"Let's hope you have the magic touch then. I'm not sure Lou would forgive any of us if it came to that."
"Oh I feel loads more confident now Liam, cheers mate."
"Sorry, Hazza. Just reach out, OK? Don't take no for an answer. Show up unannounced at his doorstep if you have to."
"Will do. I'll let you know as soon as I can. Bye Liam."
"Bye," Liam replied and hung up.
Harry decided to just bite the bullet and get a move on. Instead of putting his phone down after the call, he went to his contacts and dialled a number he hadn't called in ages.
