Sitting through second and fourth period wasn't bad but I felt like sixth was going to go by painfully slow since it's lunch hour. Solar and I had the first lunch together so we walked to Mr. Deo's class together.

Entering the class I noticed Johnny was missing from his usual seat next to me.

"Skipper alert." Solar said loud enough for me to hear. It was only the first week of school could he really not at least get to Friday?

Solar was correct he was a no show. I decided to sit in his seat since his side was against the wall so I would lean on it now and then taking notes and trying to not fall asleep.

The final bell eventually rang letting everyone know it was time to go. As always the halls fill with people ready to get their asses out of this hell hole.

Stepping outside I noticed a familiar black mustang on the school parking lot.

Johnny?

Yes I walked over to it simply because I was curious. I didn't have to worry about my mom picking me up since she said would be staying at the office late working on a big case she had this whole week.

To my surprise there he was.

Car roof down, hair slicked back along with a simple black tee and jean ripped skinny jeans. Boy did I love his choice of attire.

"So you show up when schools over but don't bother when you're suppose to actually be here." I said crossing my arms in front of my chest.

"Shut up and take this." Throwing my maroon jacket in the air I managed to catch it before it touched the ground.

He drove away at lightning speed making my hair fly all over the place.

"Thanks for bringing back my jacket." I said to no one in particular.

"It's still a little purple but keep putting it on. It'll cover it right up. " I'd decided to take the bus home with solar to her house since I really wasn't in the mood to being home alone. Before anything I let Jude know I was sleeping over to not make him worry about my whereabouts and to let mom know.

She'd given me a bottle of her many concealers to help cover up the bruise Johnny had given me. Yeah I told her all about it since she practically pried it out of me and let's just say she should stay at least one hundred feet away from Johnny unless people wanna see blood.

"That asshole, I would've punched him back as soon as I was conscious." Solar was always the one to come to my rescue since she said I 'let people off to easily' or 'I'm too nice'.

"Okay but that wouldn't have solved anything plus he was nice enough to give me a ride home." I added jotting down some physics notes I forgot to take.

"He what?!" She screamed choking on her drink. " Seo Johnny gave you a ride? Wow that's a first." She said with wide eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"Honey he doesn't let anyone in his car except for himself and maybe a dead body in his trunk." Was she being serious?

"I mean he did punch me and that was the least he could do plus don't say that. Like I said don't talk if you don't know." It wasn't in my place to defend him because I didn't know him like that but just because you hear rumors doesn't mean you should believe them. Everyone deserves a chance.
