For the love of basketball [A Kuroko no Basket fanfic]

Kagami's POV

Today we were getting a new student. It was rather interesting since people don't really transfer a week after school starts.

We were waiting for the teacher came in to start lessons, then after a few minutes she finally appeared.

"Class, we have a new student joining us. You may come in," she said looking at the door. A moment later a girl walked in with a book in her hands.

She had light blue hair and she had ocean blue eyes that were slightly hidden behind the end of her bangs. She stood in the front of the room as she introduced herself.

"My name is Noriko,Rin. I hope we get along this year," she said in a soft voice. The teacher motioned for her to take the seat in front of mine.

The lesson then started and the girl only seemed to work and listen to what the teacher said.

-After classes-

Rin's POV

'Riiiiiinnggggg!'

The bell was heard throughout the hallways as class was declared over. I quickly grabbed my stuff and headed home, not like anyone was waiting for me.

The boy that I sat in front of in class seemed to be watching me all day. He was strange, he didn't talk, he just observed what I did.

I rushed out of the schools front doors, then I walked out of the school gates and down the street towards my house. As I walked though, I had another mini panic attack.

What if no one would like me?

What if I get bullied again for always studying?

I started to breath faster and my heart rate raced. 'Calm down, Rin. You can't have an attack right in the middle of the street.'

My breathing slowly went to normal so I grabbed my bag, that I had at some point dropped, and quickly ran home. When I got there I took my medicine and went to my room.

I changed into some basketball shorts and a black tank top, then grabbed a ball and went outside to find the court I saw earlier. After a few minutes of searching, I found it and started to do my warm-ups.

I stretched for a few minutes and ran around the perimeter a few times before I stopped. I took a quick drink of my water, then decided I was ready to play.

I grabbed the ball and shot a few hoops. This ended up going on for at least 3 hours before I chose to stop and went home. I quickly ate dinner, took a shower, and went to bed for the next day.

-Next day at school-

I walked into the classroom and sat down, I finally started to read my new book. It was about different basketball strategies and moves that I could practice when I get home.

The boy beside me wasn't here yet but I found the boy that sat two seats behind me also reading a book. I turned and started to read again.

????'s POV

I saw her reading, the new girl I mean. When I looked closer at the book though, it was about basketball. She didn't look like a basketball person but she was obviously logical about a lot of things.

"What are you reading," I asked. Kagami hadn't showed up yet so I sat in his seat for the moment.

"A book,"she said, then turned around to read again.
