During the rest of the year Reaper kept doing hunts and practicing his swordsmanship. Angel was socializing with the people of the town even though they were very suspicious of her and Tom had to leave for a couple weeks to visit family and relatives.
Reaper was on a mildly difficult mission having to wipe out a group of Bandits but something unexpected happened during a battle he was cut on the arm and he saw his blood was black from the small cut he had. After this for some reason every bandit in the nearby vicinity was impaled by a long black spike. Reaper was very shocked at this and went home quickly.
After explaining the events to Angel, she pondered for a while then returned to Reaper with a very shocked face but didn't say anything.
