Two months laterI put another rose into the vase sitting on my vanity. I've gotten a rose on my balcony everyday since the funeral. I don't know who they're from, but I keep them anyways. I love roses, they're beautiful. I stared at the vase full of pink roses. Some were new and lively, others, faded and wilting. Like how in life, things can change so quickly. From good, to bad and evil.
"You ready to go?" Gilinsky asked from my doorway. I nodded and put on my shoes, following him out the door.
The Jacks, Andrea, and I all moved in together in LA. We take care of each other. I don't know what I would do without them. I'm now sixteen. They took me to the beach for my birthday, and we had a great time. I still miss all my friends, but I know they're watching over us. We stopped touring for this year. I don't know if we ever will again. Things have been hard, but we are getting through it.
"You okay?" G asked, glancing over at me while he was driving to Chipotle.
I shrugged. "Just thinking." He nodded and grabbed my hand giving it a squeeze. "When's Madison going to visit again?"
"I think next week."
I smiled. "Good, I miss her." Madison is actually a really sweet girl. We've gotten super close over the last two months. It's great to have her around when Andrea goes clubbing without me. Sometimes I tag along, but I'd rather stay home. We got to chipotle and grabbed the food, bringing it home. Andrea and JJ are out so it's just Gilinsky and I. They've been hanging out a lot lately. I'm thinking they're gonna date. I'm happy for them. G is like my big brother and dad also. He takes care of me. I couldn't ask for anything better. We finished eating as Andrea and JJ got home.
"I'm going out tonight and you're coming with me." Andrea announced.
"But-" I argued.
She cut me off. "Nope, you have to."
"Alright." I gave in. The Jacks laughed at us as she dragged me upstairs to get ready.
I hopped in the shower as she picked out my outfit. I dried my hair and plugged in the straightener. I wrapped up in my robe and walked out seeing a small black dress on my bed. One of Andreas many dresses. She looked good in all of them, but I'm not so sure about me. I slid off my robe and put it on. It was a little showy for my comfort level. There was a deep vneck that went all the way down to the waistline. It was very fitted and ended just under my butt.
"Andrea this is a little tight." I called, stepping into the hallway.
"You look hot! Just get ready!" She yelled back.
I cracked a smile, rolling my eyes and sitting at my vanity to do my makeup. I spent about an hour putting on a smoky eye and contouring my face to perfection. I then straightened my hair and brushed through it before brushing my teeth. I slid on some strappy heels and grabbed my phone and fake I.d.
"I'm ready." I said, appearing in Andrea's doorway.
"You look totally hot!" She exclaimed, flashing a proud smile.
"Thanks, you do too." I laughed. She had on a navy dress similar to mine that fit her curves perfectly.
She clapped her hands together. "Alright, time to go."
"Do you really think this is okay to wear?" I asked, running my sweaty palms across the thin material.
"Yes! You look good, promise." She answered.
"Okay." I sighed. We walked downstairs and to the door.
"Wait!" I heard Gilinsky's voice. Here we go. I stopped. "Turn around." I obeyed, turning in a circle. "You're not wearing that."
"But she looks so hot!" Andrea argued, crossing her arms. This is how it always is. Jack usually wins.
"She's only sixteen." He stated, obviously annoyed. "Go change." He said to me and I nodded, going upstairs. He acts like my dad. I don't really mind, because he's usually right, but sometimes he's a little too strict. I peeled off the dress, laying it on my bed and going in my closet to find something to wear. Andrea and Jack are probably still down there yelling at each other. I picked out a black velvet dress and slipped it on. It was loose fitting and backless. One of my favorites. I went back into my room seeing Gilinsky standing in the doorway.
"I'm sorry." He said softly.
"It's fine." I replied, gathering my things.
"You aren't mad at me?" He asked.
I looked up at him and shook my head. "I respect your opinion. You know that."
He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. "I know I'm hard on you, but it's just because I care about you, a lot."
"I know Jack. I'll see you later." I said, kissing his cheek and letting go. I met Andrea back at the door and we set off. I have a feeling this is going to be a good night.
