Camila was an average freshman in high school she had good grades and followed the rules well most of the time at least. She always obeyed her parents but she was still your average teenage girl who loved her friends and boys. She was never the type to sleep with them but she did love boys and could be boy crazy. But besides her loving boys she was always an over achiever when it came to school and parents were always first when it came to her decisions. She had a few boyfriends here and there but it was never to serious she always had her morals in the back of her mind never did she want to jeopardize her self or her parents relationship.
Now that Camila was turning 15 they were planning her coming of age party a Quinceanera, something so import in a Hispanic girl's life. Every girl looked forward to turning 15 since a young age. The Hispanic culture put such an importance to a girl's 15th birthday party from the party to the dress and even the church. Camila being half Mexican half Cuban she knew this was going to be a big party and that they were planning this since the day she turned 14 back to back appointments for an event hall, church, dress, cakes and many more things. And now with just a few months away everything was coming together. She knew a lot of family was going to be staying at her house from both sides of her family. She was grateful that her dad was busting his but off at work to make this party happen and she could not thank him and god enough for the wonderful family she had.
CAMILA'S POV
I'm glad school is done with today I walk out of class and I meet up with Lauren and we walk to the bus stop to go to my house since today we have to practice for my Quinceanera dance all my other friends will go until later. As we are arriving to my I see new people are moving to the house across the street.
" look Lauren people are finally moving into that house"
" I see that she responds I wonder if they will be nice?"
" I think nothing could be worse than the last one"
Both girls laugh and walk inside Camila's house. Little did Camila know that the new neighbors would change her life forever.
Hey mom I'm home Lauren is with me.
Hey girls just got done with the food you guys want to eat already?
Camila
Well is papa home?
Sinu
No he won't be back until late today he came to rest a little bit you missed him he left about 15 minutes ago.
Camila
Did you see we have new neighbors?
Sinu
Yeah your father went to say hello already and welcomed them they have an British accent you know.
Lauren
That's so cool why can't we have a cool accent?
Sinu
Well I think my accent is pretty cool if you ask me.
Camila
Hay mama nobody asked you haha (she joked and they all laughed) I'm kidding mom I love you. We will eat when you go pick sofia up. We are going to my room.
Camila and Lauren walk to her room once they close the door.
Camila
Nothing interesting ever happens to why are we so boring.
Lauren
I'm not boring you are but not me om the most interesting person ever.
Camila
Shut the hell up
Lauren
Uhhh rude much....
Both girls started laughing little did they know everything was going to change forever. Later in the afternoon Camila's friends and a few of her cousins started to arrive to get started with the dances now they were just waiting for the lady that was teaching them the dances.
Dinah
So Camila I see you have new neighbors.
Camila
Yeah my mom said they have been moving in since early in the morning.
Dinah
Anything cute?
Camila
I don't think so I haven't seen anyone.
Dinah
You have the worst luck, you never have cute neighbors.
Camila
Tell me about it.
Practice had gone pretty smoothly and now Lauren and Camila were outside her in her front yard talking everyone one gone except Lauren. Camila was sitting on a bench the had outside and Lauren was standing up looking at her and talking when she saw him it was dark out but her porch light and so was his and she couldn't help but stare at him she saw him looking back their way but she thought he was checking Lauren out. She saw a smirk on his face and she felt her heart race a little.
Lauren
Hello earth to Camila do you hear what I'm saying???
Camila
Oh yeah sorry what did you say?
I said tomorrow I'm leaving school early I have a dentist appointment so you have to come home by yourself.
Camila
Can't you ditch your dentist who needs clean teeth anyway.
Lauren
So your saying you want me to have fucked up teeth just so you won't stay alone a few hours until I get out.
Camila
You know my parents are going out of town and are taking sofia and I hate to be alone.
Lauren
Camila it will only be a few hours then I'll tell my mom to drop me off.
Camila
Fine but I still think you should ditch the appointment.
Both the girls laugh at that's when Camila's dad gets home.
Camila
Hi papa
She goes to give him a kiss and a hug

Hi flaca hi Lauren how did it go today?
Camila
Todo bien (everything good).
Alejandro
Let's go inside you need a ride home Lauren or are you staying tonight?
Lauren
I'm just staying today thanks for offering the ride.
