I awaited the moment I would be rescued. To be honest, I wished it was all a dream. Half of all of this seemed like a terrible nightmare, but it's only reality. I couldn't believe that I lost my memory and he lied to me the whole time. I couldn't help but think, would things be better than they are if I let it go? If I never found out? A small tear fell down my cheek. My ex walked back in and I wiped it with my shoulder imedialty. "These ropes are annoying, can't you take them off?" "Oh sweety, I'm not dumb" "yeah... but think of all the things we could do without my hands tied" I spiked his interest. I just couldn't break and back down. He went over and untied me. I played along with his wantings but not going too far. I kissed him and pushed him on the couch. I had time to look at my phone, no reply. He probably was already looking for me.
There was a noise. He got up and looked outside. I saw this as my window of opportunity. I ran to one of the back rooms. I looked around for an open window. All the windows were bordered up. Really!? "(Y/n)! Where did you go?" "Just getting ready for your present!" I shouted back at him. I heard footsteps. I had to think fast. I looked around once more. Anything to maybe hit him over the head with. Nothing, damnit. He got this place on lock down pretty good. "Oh (y/n)!" "Almost ready! Don't come in yet" "okay" I hear the grin he had on his face. He's not as smart as I thought if he thinks this is real. I finally grabbed something from the closet. A hanger, not gonna be very affective but it's all there was. "Ready" oh I'm ready for you. You son of a- I bashed him with hanger. "Bitch!" I ran for my life.
I ran to the front door. Before I could reach it, it was busted down. In came Shadow. I ran to him, "(y/n)!" I hugged him. I was glad nothing terrible happened. Well, beside the fact I was tied to a chair. I went and grabbed my phone and ran out. Shadow told me he had already called the cops. My ex ran out and tried to attack Shadow. He used his powers and trapped him in a red sphere. "Wow" "what?" "I've never seen you use your powers before" "I can do a lot more than this" that's why I was kind of afraid when I first met him. He was powerful beyond belief. The police arrived shortly and took (b/n) away. "That's the last you'll see of him" Shadow put his arm around me. I took it off and backed away from him. He looked at me with a confused expression. "I can't- I'm sorry but we can't be together. Not after what happened" "I understand..." He hung his head. "I'm leaving" "I'll pay for your ticket for you" "you've already done enough" I said as I turned and walked away.
I made my way to the bus station. I bought my ticket and was waiting for my bus. Someone appraoched me from behind, "do you have to leave?" I just looked at him with a serious face. He hugged me but I pushed him away once more. My bus pulled up and I grabbed my suitcase. I boarded my bus and the final announcement for people that needed to get on sounded. The doors closed as I took my seat. I looked out the window at Shadow. I stared into his ruby eyes for the last time.
