Well I wrotethis poem in 10th std for a competetion.. The topis was -"Water-The essence of life".
#Don'tWasteWater
From the mountains above, gushing she comes,
Braving steep slopes and dangerous turns.
With one aim, on purpose-To provide,
To help us, and be on our side.
Unhesitantly she caters to our needs,
Helping us from before, and since we were seeds!
Nurturing and nourishing us with much love and care,
Looking after her, would only be fair!
It's only because of her we survive,
We live strong and we thrive.
Barren and desolate the Earth would've been,
If not for her intervene.
To her, our very existance we owe,
Without her seeds of tomorrow we cannot sow!
The least we can do is treat her with respect,
Otherwise on her, there will be bad effect!
Factories dumping large lumps of waste,
Without thinking, acting in haste.
Using more water that we require,
Will cause her to early retire.
Even to imagines the consequence then, I cannot bear,
Such will be our sadness and despair!
Without her, nothing, nothing will survive,
And then everyone will say "Oh, what I wouldn't give..".
To ensure that on us this doesnt befall,
Wastage of water we must stall.
Judicious use we must encourage,
And thse who don't we mus cage!
Every little drop is precious,
Wasting it would be attrocious.
As water, is the very essence of life,
Wasting it would be, like stabbing oneself with a knife!
