" I need to speak to Jack," I told the guard.
"You can't speak to prisoners without permission," replied the guard.
"Do you know who I am?" I demanded.
"Yeah your pushy and annoying," He snapped.
"Is that supposed to be funny?" I asked.
"Yeah, it is," He said.
"Let me in now," I demanded.
"No!" he yelled back.
"I know your part of the rebellion so you let me in or I will tell the rulers," I threatened.
He opened the door. The room was tiny with a small bed, a table, and the smallest bathroom I've ever seen connected to it. The room was made out of cement and there were no windows. Just a small candle lighting up the room.
"Emma..." Jack said. "I just wan't to tell you that-"
"Tell me later," I said cutting him off," We have a big problem."
"What is it. Are you dying. Is the world going to end. Did I hurt the rebellion by getting caught." Jack said extremely fast.
"You probably did hurt the rebellion by getting caught, the world is not ending, and I am not dying but you might in 48 hours if I don't come up with a way to make by brother the heir to the throne." I replied.
"Emma don't spend 48 hours trying to get me out. Even if you do convince your parents to make Jeremy the heir to the throne he still would kill me. You know that, so stop trying," He said
"Jack you can't mean that! When my sister disappeared you said that there is always a way and I will find her someday. So why is there not a way here?" I asked.
"Go away Emma," he screamed, "I never want to see you again."
"This isn't you Jack. This isn't the Jack I know," I replied.
"I'm not who you think I am," he said.
There was no point in trying to change his mind. I ran out of the room crying. I can't believe he said that. I don't care I'm going to get him out of there if that's the last thing I do. The Jack I know is sweet and kind. He would never say that to me, but yet he did.
