Today was the first day I'd continue my life after my mothers death . I've been really low lately , I've decided it would be best if I live with my grandma . I'm really excited to see her but nervous to start a new life sort of . As I drove , I thought how I would want people to think of me has Cassie and not the girl who just lost her mother . I didn't really how everyone felt sorry for me and treated like if I wasn't going to be able to recover .
I drove up to my grandmas house and I took a deep breath before i exited the car . I saw her walk down the steps with a big smile . I opened the door and walked towards her "I've missed you !" . "Cassie it's so nice to see you my dear ." I walked in the house and looked to see all the childhood photos of my mother . "It's pretty late , let me show you to your room so you can sleep ." "Thanks , grandma." I walked in and saw all my mothers memories . "I still haven't had time to take out your mothers stuff . " . " Its okay , I like it , I feel more connected with her . " I said with a smile . " Well goodnight sweetie , get plenty of rest for your first of school tomorrow ." How could I forget that I've still had to go to school . I decided to take a shower and as I was showering , it felt soothing . I put on my pink robe and walked to my bed . I looked to my window and saw someone looking at me . He was slim , blonde long hair , shirtless , and mysterious . I closed my curtains and grabbed my shirt . I turned around and saw my curtains were open again . I was so confused but I was too tired to care . As I fell asleep I thought of my mother and wondered if what I was doing the right thing to do , would she be proud ? Looking up to my ceiling , there were small stars that shined . I woke up to the sound my alarm , and realized i had school . I woke up and walked to the mirror and looked at myself . I stood there just looking and telling myself "today I'm gonna be Cassie and not the girl without a mother . I put my black leather jacket over my olive v-neck shirt and my dark blue jeans . I put my black booties on and grabbed my bag . Waking down the stairs I smelled pancakes . "Goodmorning Cassie ." I heard my grandmother say and I replied "Good morning " I ate and said goodbye realizing I'm almost late . As I opened the door to my car I saw the same boy from last night . I drove to school and went straight to the office and grabbed my schedule . I walked down the hall and looked for my locker .
(Adam) "So, Nick did you see her?" . " She just got here yesterday ." Adam" that's it " . "Yeah that's all I know ." I saw her walking down the hall and I couldn't stop staring . (Cassie) I wondered why he kept looking at me . As I thought why he was looking at me , this tall , pretty , dark haired girl approached me . " Hey, you must be Cassie ." " I'm Faye and this is Melissa .". "Oh hi I'm Cassie ." (Faye)" you should come after school to the boathouse ,that's were everyone hangs out " and she walked away . I saw opened my locker I was approached by another girl but she seemed very polite and responsible . " Hey , I'm Diana and sorry about Faye." I said " It's okay and hi I'm Cassie ." She smiled and said " we should hangout sometime ." " I would like that " and she walked away . Well I better get to class . After school I headed to the boat house and saw the boy who wouldn't stop staring at me in the halls . "Hey I'm Adam ." " Hi , I'm Cassie ." "Take a seat and I'll bring you a menu . " . As I sat down , Faye and Melissa sat with me . " You should talk to Adam he likes little girls like you ." Faye said . Melissa said " Don't mind Faye she's always bitchy ." . " I think I'm gonna go cause I don't wanna deal with her . "
I walked to my car and started my car ,but it wouldn't start . It started to smoke and my doors were locked . All of a sudden it caught fire and I screamed for help . (Inside the boathouse ) Faye " She must know she's a witch ." Melissa replied " I don't think so ." Faye "let's give her a nudge ." . "Faye stop it , stop the fire. " Faye :" Come on Cassie stop the fire ." (Cassie ) *coughing * "HELP!!!" I saw Adam run to my car and he tried to open my car . He had stopped the fire and opened the door but he didn't use anything for the fire . " Are you okay ?" I heard him say and I thanked him . We sat on his car and I told him about how I was confused about my car catching fire . Diana approached us and told Adam to take me home . I refused because I didn't wanna disturb him ."It's okay , Cassie he's my boyfriend ." She kissed him goodbye and we drove off . I felt awkward the drive home . "Hey , thanks for the ride." Adam " it's no problem ." "I'm still confused how my car was on fire , maybe it needed rest before driving ." Adam" maybe it did ." He sounded nervous . " I did drive it for a long time yesterday . " Adam " that was probably it ."
I walked inside the house and went up to my room . My grandmother wasn't home , so I waited till she got home . I told her about the incident and she replied " Well I'm just glad your okay ." " Grandma , I think I'm gonna head upstairs and go to sleep early , the scare took of my energy ." "Okay goodnight sweetheart ."
