Sat in the car next to Ashley Purdy I was fidgiting and panicking inside. My dad was wanting to kill my mum who was really ill.

"So why do you need to get to the hospital?" Ashley asked after a moment of silence.

"Like I told you, it's personal." I didn't want anyone to find out because they could call the police or anything.

Once there I rushed through the hospital after signing in to find out someone had already signed in to meet my mother before me. I ran through the hospital to get to my mothers bedside. Stood next to the bed was a tall thin woman.

I didn't think she looked like a hitman. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"I should ask you the same question." The woman put her thin boney hands on her narrow hips.

"I'm her daughter."

"I'm her sister." Hailey Scott said.

"Oh my God." I widened my eyes. I blinked myself out of shock then said, "Someones going to try and kill mum."

"Why?"

"I don't know. I heard my dad talking to who I think was a hitman." I told her.

"I'm calling the police." She pulled out her phone. I didn't stop her. She called them and they were on their way.

Minutes later the police were sat in a private room with me answering their questions. Who? My dad. What? Calling a hitman to kill someone. Where? At the hospital. When? Anytime. Why? Unknown. How? Unknown.

The police decided they would have wardens patrolling the ward for a week to check my mothers safety although I felt soory for my mother who was whispering then screaming tied to her bed with tubes in her nose. She wasn't making progress, if anything she was getting worse. Ashley texted alot asking if I was okay, I obviously wasn't, but I told him I was fine. We were meeting the next day. It would be 3 days until the wedding and that night would be the hen party. As I went home I couldn't take my mind of how horrible my father really was.

What's up? Worried about u xx Ashley texted for about the fourth time.

Family probs. Wat we gonna do tomoz? xx I answered.

I no a gr8 cafe we cud go 2 if u want? Then maybe we cud go mine an c every1? xx Ashley asked.

Gr8 seeya tomoz <3 xx I sat down on the couch at home flicking through channels on the tv. Ashley seemed a really good friend. I lay back on the sofa staring at the ceiling wondering what my life was coming to. Marrying the hated and meeting the famous, what was the point? By 2pm dad came and said, "Hey don't you need to get ready for tonight? It's the business ball." Business balls' are balls where everyone goes showing off how posh they are and basically it's an excuse to stick your nose in everyone elses businesses, give snide remarks to stir trouble in rival businesses. Although I don't usually go to them, I hadn't been told I was going to this one.

"What? You never said-"

"You'll be hanging onto Blades arm. Try to keep that," He pointed to my mouth. "Smiling with no words coming out of it. Just look pretty. Go on. Gina will help you." He clicked his fingers at his assisstant, Gina, who was the only one I could trust that was close enough to call family.

Gina took my arm gentley and led me to my dressing room. In my underwear I turned away from Gina, took off my bra awkwardly then held the corset in position for Gina to pull it tight at the back. The corset was really itchy and restricted my breathing alot. Gina then picked out a beautiful, silk, black dress which flowed down gentley to my feet with the neck line a low square cut showing off a large amount of cleavage the corset somehow managed to push up. For shoes were plain black high heels that really hurt so Gina and I made it our little secret and figured no one would notice if I wore my converse as there werent any steps at the ballroom therefore I wouldn't need to hold up my dress. There was no way I was going to dance anyway. I sat infront of the mirror watching Gina do my hair, she gentley curled it over one eye so my black hair would create a mysterious look. Makeup brushes brushed lightly over my eyelids darkening my eyes and bringing out the pale in my face. Natural pink lip gloss finished off my sexy, mysterious look. "It brings out your eyes." Gina commented on my bright green eyes. I thanked her then walked out the room trying to breathe enought without making it look like I'd just ran a mile.

In the lobbey stood Blade with his hair gelled back sleekly (personally I thought he looked like a sweaty bartender) his tuxedo (made the bartender look more believable) was finely ironed with a hankercheif sticking out his pocket. He held out an arm for me to take but I strolled straight past him, past dad who had one of his women who 'occupied' him every night and out into the car going to the ball. Blade got into the car after me then sighed at me, "You better behave tonight. My business depends on it-"

"Your business? It was my mums' business in the first place. Your leach of a father latched onto my dad when mum got sick and now along came you." When I said 'you' at the end I looked at him in disgust.

"And so now when your idiot of a dad kicks the bucket or gets sick of you - like your mother - I will run the business while you're where all women should be, at home awaiting for my return." Blade smirked victoriously.

"My mum became ill. She's undergoing demonic possession and-" Did I really just say that? I knew it was the truth but I refuse to believe it was the truth.

"Demonic possession?" Blade laughed, "You believe your old bat is possessed? By a demon?"

After a load of mocking from Blade we finally got to the ball, I heard the low voice of perfection from inside the ballroom. Before I could wander off following the voice Blade grabbed my arm tightly making people gasp and whisper. Great. Gossip of the next ADC businessman is abusive.

"Look what you've done. I'm gonna be accused of being a woman beater 'cos of you." Blade told me in a threatening voice through gritted teeth. I ignored him holding onto his arm as we walked into the ballroom, I saw heaven himself: ANDY BIERSACK.
