Slam! the locker door came closing with much force. I looked behind to see a angry classmate I could hear in low grumbling behind me. I paid no heed to him as I almost waltzed down to my own locker. the crashing sound of the classmates locker had brought me back to earth but I still was in a daze because of my own glee.
I fumbled with my lock as I inputted the combo.
"6, 26, 6" I mumbled then pulled down the lock, it open with almost no effort I cheerfully hummed as I grabbed my Brightly green trimmed bag from my locker, and sat it down beside my leg. I reached deeply into my pocket and snatched a slip of paper from inside and brought it up so I see the writing clearly.
On it was a snapchat username written in a deep blue ink and under the the username was the words 'text me.' I gave a squeal of delight after reading it.
"I had finally gotten her snapchat I could finally talk to her out of school!" I shouted in my mind. I gave the slip of paper one last look, checking to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. When I confirmed it to be reality I shoved it into the same pant pocket.
I closed my locker lightly and locked it with the slight clack of my lock. I next grabbed my backpack and briskly walked down the hallway with a slight skip to my step, I opened the weighted doors. I felt the crisp pre-winter breeze caress my face and wisp my short hair to the side. I breathed in the refreshing air deeply deeply.
I could have never have felt as joyous as I did now.
