***Autumn's POV***

 I was interrupted by a drunken man's voice. His voice was slurred and angry. He was stumbling through the house. Shouting, "where is she!" I couldn't tell who the man was. I was praying it was some guy at the wrong house and he would just leave when he couldn't find the girl he was looking for. My luck it wouldn't be the case. It was either Eric or Brian.

"Autumn follow me." My mom whispered, pulling me into the basement. "Stop." I jerked my hand out of hers, running for Skyler's room. "What the hell are you doing?! Get back here now!" Mom yelled. I wasn't leaving my baby, with some man I yet to no who it was.

"Daddy, please stop! Your hurting me!" Skyler whined. It was Brian. But, why? Brian is never violent when he is wasted. "Brian, leave her alone now!' I roared running to Skyler's room. Brian dropped Skyler making her cry in pain. I looked at her as she crawled to a corner in her room. I wanted to rush over to my little girl and try to sooth her but I new I needed to get Brian away from her first. "Brian, I want you out of my house and leave Skyler alone now!" He chuckled obviously not fazed about what I just told him. He turned around with a smirk plastered on his face. "Autumn, just the girl I was looking for. Where were you?" "It doesn't matter where I've been, it only matters where your about to end up. Leave my house now!'' I began to become unglued something was telling me I've had enough of Brian and I needed to put a stop to it. "How dare you talk to me like that!'' Brian spatt coming towards me snatching me up. I glared at him and spit in his face. Earning me a slap in the face. I kicked him in his balls. Forcing him to let me go. So, he could bend over and compose his self.

I used this as my chance I kneed him in the face. He held his noes moaning in pain. I dragged him by the ear and through him out my house. Slamming the door behind him.

I took a deep breathe I can't believe I did that! "Mommy?!" Skyler cried. I ran to my baby. "I-is he gone?" I nodded hugging he. "That's the first time hes ever done that to me." She sobbed. I swallowed the lump in my throat. "It was the first and the last I swear to you." I whispered trying to sooth her.

The following morning I woke up to someone banging on the front door. I checked my alarm it was 1:35 pm. ''Please just let me talk to them, please Sammi." I male voice spoke. "Why should I after what you did! Brian if Autumn didn't show up when she did Skyler your child could of been seriously hurt! You no good well how you are when your wasted this has to stop Brian! This is your last chance or I'm getting Eric!'' Mom yelled. I probably should give him a piece of my mind while hes sober and here. I got up yawning going to where my mom is. She was still yelling when I walked into the living room. Brian had a bandage on his nose from where my knee hit him. "Brian what are you doing here?" My voice cold and stern.

He looked sad. He had bags under his eyes, like he had been crying. "I wanted to talk to you and see Skyler. I no what happened yesterday and I'm so-" I stopped him. "Save it. You don't care about us all you wanna do is party and whore around with other girls every night. If you cared them you wouldn't do that. You would be there for me and of Skyler. Not come home whenever your drunk and try to abuse your family!" I roared.

"Can we just talk alone." I relunctaly nodded looking at my mom telling her to leave. He stepped forward trying to take my hand. I snatched it away. "Don't touch me."  He looked hurt but nodded, " Can we please talk?" He pleaded. I looked at  him in disguised and relunctly nodded. "Go on." He gulped. "Autumn, I love you alot you and Skyler. I know I've been done a really bad job showing showing it, But, I was scared. I didn't mean for you to get pregnant. When I found out I flipped I got scared. I was afraid I was going to be a horrible dad an obviously I was and I'm sorry I want to make it up to you, I wanna start over please."  Brian begged. My eyes teared up in hatred. "Brian you left me with a crying child. I was up all hours of the night taking care of her! While you were whoring around getting wasted, partying!  You no how many times I have to answer Skylers questions about where you are all I get is mommy is daddy home? When is he coming back? Is he ever coming back? You no what my answer is everytime I don't no. I need a man in my life that will be there for Skyler and me and if you don't want to then I'll find someone that does!" I sobbed screaming at him.

"Autumn I'll stop going out I'll stop cheating, drinking everything. Just please give me another chance I wanna be there for you and Skyler and in the future I want more kids with you and only you just please baby please...." Brian cried embrassing me in a hug kissing my forhead. "Please don't do this again I need you she needs you. This is your last chance I mean it Brian." I wiped away the final tears that escaped, taking his hand I led him to Skylers room. I stopped him as soon as we reached the door. I think its best that I go in first. You no from previous events I think that if we go in at the same time it make over whelm her. He nodded.

"Hey baby girl! Watcha doing playing with your baby dolls?" I smiled at my bubbly little girl. "Yea mommy its wun. Would hou play wif me?" "Maybe later, sweetheart mommy wants you to meet Brian eh urh maybe your daddy." Skylers face went from cute and bubbly to sad and terrified. "Why mommy?" I sighed. "Baby because I don't want you to be without one. I'm giving him another chance. But, I won't let him be around you without me being there. Mommy's little girl is safe around me." She smiled and hugged me around my kneck. I love this little girl even though I just met her yesterday it feels like its been forever. This is my baby and I want nothing more to protect her. My little girl.

***Brian's POV***

 "How many times do I have to explain this too you! He is abusing his daughter that is why she is in the hospital! No it was not a freak accident it was on purpose. P.U.R.P.O.S.E. Yes I admit I did what I did but what would you do if your best friend the one you love with all your heart was being abused by her own father an innocent sweet little girl that wouldn't do anything to anyone! Huh how would you feel what would you do!" I screamed at the police officer. This is rediculous complete b.s. I have been accused of assult to a so called "innocent" man! Apperently Eric is buddy buddy with the whole law enforcement. Go figure an abusive father going to make sure he is great with the law so if something like this was too happen his butt is safe. Ugh stupid bastard! I should of known he would do something like this!

"Please sir I just want to be there for when my daughter wakes up! Please just please I'll pay a fee whatever it takes I just want my little girl please." Sammi begged. "Look Brian you are facing serious charges. Assulting a man even if he is abusing that child you still broke the law actions will have to be taken!" The officers cold stern voice spoke over the silent teragation room. "It was defense of a third party! There ain't no telling what he would of done if it was just them too even if she was in acoma this isn't right!" "If you don't shutup I'll charge you you of disrespect to a police officer!" I groaned. The law is never fair they never ever think about the situations they never do and I can't stand this! This reason right here is why I became intil in medical because of these stupid people!

 "Fine. What are my charges?" "Well a week in jail I believe will be enough. Normally the charges would be longer but you got me at a great day and for all I no Eric could be abusing her and I thought about you earlier. Sadly, for you I can't let you go without any jail time. You also have too pay a 300 dollar fine." The officer stated matter of factly. "Ok might as well get this over with. I'm sorry Sammi. Go to the hospital take care of Autumn I'll be there soon." Sammi nodded and kissed me on the forehead, she gave me one last hug and watched as the police officer arrested me and read me my rights, taking me away and sending me behind bars.............
