I stood there with the infant in my arms, swaying side to side, humming a lullaby to my sweet little niece. My sister had come down to stay with us, only bringing her second child due to the first being in the hospital. She hadn't seen him in 4 days, and she was devastated. I had offered to watch the little girl till she fell asleep so my older sister could go to bed.

I looked over at the clock.

"11:11, make a wish little princess." I whispered in her ear. I watched the clock and thought of something to wish for. The first thing to pop into my head; I wish little Naima here to be strong for her mother during this time.

I closed my eyes, inhaled a deep breath, and sighed as I looked down upon the little baby.

"So precious, so dear. I hope you can hear. The words I shall say, I hope brighten your day. For the sun has gone into hiding, and the moon has come out to play. I wish for you the best, Little Miss Naima Fay."

I walked into the living room, and sat down on the couch, come to find Naima looking up at the picture of Jesus, in which was hanging on our wall. The picture, five feet high and four feet wide, has the glorious face of our Savior. I watched Naima as her eyes widened when she looked at the picture. She made no sound, no movement, nothing but breathing. She then looked at me with her beautiful eyes, put her head on my shoulder, and sat there looking off in the distance. Naima Fay was only a little over a month old and precious as ever. As I wrapped her up in her blanket, she squiggled around a little, but after a moment, she starred at my eyes as I lifted her into my arms. She made a little squeak, and a little move or two, but after those three seconds, she silently fell asleep.

I carried her up to her crib, and gently put her down. I kissed her forehead softly, and whispered, "Goodnight, my precious Angel."
