"Mommy!" The 5 year old screeched. I laughed and picked her up.
"Yes?" I smiled lovingly at her.
"Bubba took my toy!" She pouted.
"Well... That's not very nice. Tyler! Share with Emily. You may be older, but it's only by 17 minutes!" I yelled and put her down. She ran back into the play room and I could hear them both laughing and playing.
Arms wrapped around me from behind and I grinned toothily as I stared at my surroundings.
After 7 years me and my love were able to find true happiness. We both have careers, and children. Two kids (twins), and 1 on the way.
We moved into this house almost 3 years ago. It was a small, cozy home that was always filled with laughter and joy.
The kitchen and living area were very bright and colorful and inviting. We had a 4 bedroom home. I share a room of course, then there's the play room, and then the kids share a room, with a spare room that will soon be the baby's.
No one speaks of what happened to me, and why it happened. But I like it that way. I got better on my own of course, with help from loving people along the way. But this gives me breathing air, and a new start to an actual happy home.
The kitten I had kept on that cold wintery day is 7 years old and very spoiled.
The grandparents visit very often, accompanied by gifts and food. We don't mind though.
As for my love?
"I love you, Caroline." He whispered in my ear as he rubbed my tummy.
"I love you too, Blake."
