For You I Will (Noblesse OC Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

  [Athena's POV]

A few years ago...

I was still the innocent child my parents knew and raised. My mother sitting on her favorite white couch while I sat on her lap, reading. My father is on another couch, resting from his responsibilities as Clan Leader. These moments are one of those times where we can get to be together as a family. It's kind of hard to find time like this. My mother would often go to the human world and return a few months after while my father would go fulfill his duties to the lord. I, being too young at the time, would remain in our mansion quite far from the castle.

"Athena?" I heard my mother say. I stopped reading for a while to look at her, "Yes?"

"Who do you want to be in the future?" she asked me. I was confused, 'Why do you ask me that question?' I thought long and hard before I spoke my answer, "I...want to be a responsible and honorable Clan Leader someday, like Father." She smiled and began stroking my head gently.

A knock was heard from the door which Father opened, revealing a family member giving his report. Father turned to us and said, "There's something that I need to check."

"It's okay honey. Be careful." Mother told him. "Bye bye father." I added. He smiled and nodded, "I'll be back soon."

Ahh Father, where had that promise gone?

--Present Time--

Wearing my usual clothing; a simple white frilled one underneath and a white overdress on top with a bow on the back that billows out at the end and laces up the front with white string. On my arms are detachable sleeves that are also laced up at the top. I also wore powder-blue roses around my neck and around the waist of my dress. I wore white cloth tied around the base of my left leg, near the ankle, and black string around my right wrist. Though often times I would switch to my noble outfit but this one suits me best. 

"Lady Athena?" I heard a voice from behind call out to me. "Roctis Kravei" I muttered before turning to face him, "What is it?" He gave me a respectful bow before saying, "The Lord wants to speak to you." I nodded and made my way to the throne room where I found the ever energetic Lord grinning like an idiot. Pardon my language.

"My lord," I bowed, "You wish to speak to me?"

"Ah yes, Miss Athena Alstreim. Yes, I do have something I need to talk to you about." He smiled. I said nothing, waiting for him to continue, "It would be your turn to visit Raizel right?"

He's using his name casually, "Yes my lord."

"Can you do something for me?" I lifted my head to meet his gaze, "?"

He shook his head, "No, more like, can you do this favor for me?" Still confused, I said nothing. He sighed then stood up and made his way down to me, "Will you do this favor for me, Athena?"

What kind of favor? "Yes lord, if that is what you wish."

He nodded and took a deep breath before saying, "I want you to accompany Raizel in his mansion."

Huh? "Huh?"

"And by accompany I mean live." Double huh!?

"P-Pardon?" I stuttered. Oh my gods, this man comes it with the most ridiculous ideas. Live with the Noblesse? Who in the world would do that? I mean, not that it's a bad thing or whatever but still! He's the Noblesse for gods sake! The Lord remained quiet before turning, walking towards his chair, "Raizel had been alone inside that mansion for a long time now. I'm sure he's getting lonely. I chose you because among the Clan Leaders, well, you already know what I'm trying to say."

I stood there, contemplating. No, there's nothing to contemplate about. I owe my life to the Lord, this is the least I could do for him. Placing my right hand over my chest, I kneeled before him and said, "Your wish is my command lord."

"You're going to live with him?" The lord's daughter, Erga Kenesis Di Raskreia sat on my lap while hugging her favorite book. This is where I usually spend my time since I barely do anything aside from assisting the Clan Leaders as much as I can. Raskreia is a cute girl and I'm sure she's going to be a good lord in the future. Hopefully she wouldn't end up like her father, well, at least some of it.

"Apparently so." I told her while fixing her hair, "Your father had given me the task to accompany him inside his mansion."

She didn't say anything. I'm sure that she's pouting right now but I'm double sure that she understands. "Will you be visiting sometime?"

"I'll make sure of that." I gave her an assuring smile before standing up, "It's already night time. I should prepare for my departure." I turned to her and gave her a quick hug, "Sweet dreams Raskreia."

"Bye bye Athena."

I gave her one last smile before I slowly closed the door of her room and walked along the quiet corridors of the castle. Whew, I'm getting nervous.
