So... To start of this whole book of mine (and the new year) I would like to point out something that not many poeple might know.
In the book Sword of summerwhen Magnus meets Otis (Tanngnjóstr) for the first time his sword reveals who he is to Otis and calls himself "Sumabrander" (page 343 in the bottom of the page). Rick Riordan have got this to mean "the sword of summer" when in fact this name means, after I've traslated it back and forth, "summerfire" - or "fire in the summer" if you prefer it that way
If I divide Sumabrander it becomes two words "Suma" and "Brander" suma is what we call sommar, which is summer. Brander is what we now call bränder or fires.
This basically means that Sumabrander doesn't mean "the sword of summer" it means "summerfire"
I really hoped you liked this bit of odd facts from Magnus Chase. If you have anything from the books that you're wondering over you can comment your questions here and I'll answer them in the next chapter.
