Chapter 1

As my miraculous beeps, I de transform behind my house and walk to the park. There, I see Alya sitting on the bench under the tree.

"Where have you been? I've been waiting for an hour. You wouldn't answer your phone either!" She exclaims, standing up and walking towards me.

"I- Uh-" Alya cuts me off by slapping me across the face, making everybody look our way.

"What? Was you busy helping at the bakery again, or did you sleep in? You have a habit of doing this, especially when somebody has been akumatised." She shouts at me. I hold my cheek.

"M-My parents didn't want me t-to leave while there was an akumatised person out t-there." I lie, stuttering. She glares at me.

"I called your parents. They said you already left the house before the attack. You probably just hid like the weakling you are! Every time trouble comes, you always hide. You only come out as soon as it's gone. I don't even know why I'm friends with a clumsy weakling like you." She shouts at me.

"Alya, I-" she slaps me one more time.

"Save it!" She says before running away. I look at everybody around me who give me looks of pity before running away, back to my house. As soon as I reach the alleyway, I transform into Ladybug before Tikki can say anything and swing my way out of it, just running around on rooftops before landing on top of the hotel that the mayor owns. About five minutes later, I feel somebody sit next to me.

"Go away Chat." I mumble, not looking.

"I'm not Char Noir." I look around to see Chloe sitting next to me.

"Chloe? What are you doing here? Oh, do you want a picture or an autograph." I ask her, looking back at the now dark sky. She sighs.

"Marionette, I saw everything. From Alya slapping you to you transforming and running everywhere." She says hugging me. I just sit there, shocked.

"Well now you know that your hero and idol is the girl you despise so much. If you are here to insult me then go ahead. I can take it." I say, looking down at the people below before transforming. Tikki flies in front of Chloe.

"Hello Chloe, in Tikki." Tikki greets her while Chloe jumps behind me.

"W-what is that thing!" She squeals, hiding. I just sigh, moving out of the way.

"Chloe, this is Tikki. She is my kwami, the one who helps me become Ladybug." I explain. Chloe slowly walks over to Tikki, picking her up.

"This looks familiar. Isn't this that toy I gave to Prince Ali?" Chloe asks. I nod, giving Tikki a cookie who flies in my purse bag.

"The reason I wanted her so badly was because she was sick and needed to be healed." I explain. Chloe nods before smirking.

"You should totally sleepover tonight. We both are friendless at the moment so this is perfect." Chloe says before grabbing my hand and dragging me off of the roof and into her room.

"Wait! What about Sabrina?" I ask. Chloe just shrugs.

"She isn't talking to me right now." Is all Chloe says before sitting me down on her couch and pressing a button on the intercom. "Send up some snacks for a sleepover." She says before turning to me.

"Why are you being so nice to me? I thought you hated me." I ask, looking down at my hands that are in my lap.

"I don't hate you. I'm more jealous. How can you be so happy all if the time? You brighten everybody's day. I thought that if I was mean to you then I could remove these stupid feelings but instead, it just drove my only friend away." Chloe says, hugging me. I slowly wrap my arms around her as well.
