Aw anon, you're too kind. u//v//u

Dorian was unusually quiet in the car that night. John and the android were on there way to the noodle shop after a slow day. The detective turned to his partner with a look that showed nuances of his concern.

"You okay?" Dorian was gazing out the window, not really looking at the blurred trail of headlights outside the window.

"You ever wonder if I can really feel?" John was unprepared to catch a glimpse of Dorian's intense gaze before turning his eyes back to the road.

"Well... No." John seemed surprised Dorian was thinking about it. "Why? It doesn't matter, does it?" Dorian frowned, not at John's response, but at his own doubt.

"No, but... I keep finding myself thinking about it. I know I'm made to emulate feelings but... I don't know if they're real."

They had pulled into the parking lot of the noodle shop by now. The car's engine slowly went quiet. John didn't speak for what felt like an hour, but in reality was just a minute.

"Look, I'm not a philosopher or an android specialist," John started. He took Dorian's hand in his own, making himself the focal of the android's attentions. "But you're feelings are real to me." The light's of Dorian's face lit up for the briefest of seconds before John let his hand go and started to get out of the car.

"Alright now that you've had you're little moment, let's get something to eat," he said. Dorian opened his mouth to speak- "-And I know you don't eat, just get out of the car." Dorian smiled and followed after him
