It was a normal day at the garrison. I was heading back to my dorm room. To see my boyfriend Matt. I walk in and see him looking at his computer with his headphones on. I silently put my bad on my bag the walk over to him. put my chin on his head and my arm on his shoulders. He looks up and I see his whole face light up. He takes off your headphones and he says

"Hey stranger." 

"Hi," I respond "How was your day."

"Stressful," he says with a sigh "Prep for Kerberos is hard. They still don't know who's going." I see the stress in his eyes. I know how much this means to him.

"Whatcha listening to?" I ask to get his mind off Kerberos. He removes his headphones as a song comes through the small speaker on the computer.

I laugh at the lyrics. Matt laughs with me. I feel a warmth spread throughout my chest. I didn't think I could love Matt any more than I do. But I guess I could be wrong.

Matt made a explosion noise. I laugh again.

As the song ends. I lean down and kiss Matt on the lips. He kisses me back. Suddenly over the loudspeakers comes a voicing saying that the people going on the kerberos mission are going to be announced tomorrow. Then both Matt's and My phones go off showing that we got an email from the garrison. We both look at each other and open our phones. It says :

"WE'RE GOING TO KERBEROS!!!!" We yell together. We dance around like the immature kids we are.
