Ashley's POV:

I was walking in the mall when I heard someone yell, "Oh my God! It's Ashley Matthews!" followed by several high pitched screams. I looked over my shoulder and saw a bunch of girls and a few guys running at me.

"Oh shit!" I cried, sprinting in the opposite direction.

"Excuse me!" I apologized as I bumped into people as I rushed past them. When I turned a corner I ran right into someone.

"I am so sorry!" I gasped, then got a better look at the person. "Luke Bryan?"

"Ashley Matthews?" He asked, equally as shocked.

I heard another scream and we both cussed as the crowd of fans came at us. They got more hysterical when they saw Luke. A lot more people joined the chase when they saw Luke too.

"We gotta go!" Luke said, grabbing my hand and dragging me with him as we tried to find somewhere to hide. We rounded another corner and dove into the shop closest to us.

"Can we hide in a back room in here or a closet?" Luke asked the cashier behind the counter.

He must have recognized us because he grinned and immediately led us to a broom closet. We jumped inside and shut the door. We could hear the fans outside, looking for us.

"I think we're safe in here," I panted, out of breath from the chase.

In the dim light I saw Luke nod.

"Good to finally meet you by the way," Luke whispered, sticking out his hand.

I used my hand to muffle my laughter while the other one shook Luke's hand.

"How come we never met before?" Luke asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know. I guess our paths never crossed. We have a lot of the same friends though. Like Blake and Jason. They told me a lot about ya."

"They told me about ya too. I've seen some of your shows. You're really good," Luke complimented.

I smiled up at him. "Thanks. Y'all ain't too bad yourself."

"So how long do ya think we'll have to stay in here for?"

"You have the attention span of a five-year-old."

Luke chuckled quietly. "Well the last time I was in this situation I had to stay in here for about and hour."

"Then probably two hours."

Luke turned around and used his phone as a light and he searched the shelves as he said, "Well lets try and find something to pass the time. Here's a deck of cards. Wanna play?"

I sat down. "Sure. Whatcha wanna play?"

"500 Rummy?" He suggested, sitting down across from me. "We can keep track of the scores on my phone."

"Alright," I agreed. "Get ready for me to kick your ass."

Luke grinned and started dealing out the cards.

A half an hour later my phone buzzed and I saw it was a text from Blake, asking me where I was.

"Shit!" I hissed. "I forgot that I was gonna go shootin' with Blake before this happened!"

"Oooooooh. You're the hot girl that Blake was braggin' 'bout goin' on a date with today," Luke said slowly.

I almost dropped my phone. "What? He said what?"

Luke was struggling to muffle his laughter. "I'm just playin'. He didn't say that. You're reaction was priceless though."

I punched his arm. "Thomas Luther Bryan! You scared the shit out of me!"
