The morning mist laid a blanket of fog over the cemetery. I never realized how big this place was until now. We aren't even half way through yet and my legs hurt. Man I'm out of shape. Though Zander seems just fine. Figures, he's never been athletic but he does try to work out every now and then. Unlike me, the couch potato.

Gasping, I point near a tomb stone. "Hey! Are you okay? It's freezing out here, do you need a coat?"

"You can see me?" The confused man looks at Zander. "Do you know her?"

Clearing the confusion, Zander speaks up, "May, this is Mr. Halligou. James, this is Maylee, my room mate. She became a keeper last night. Though, the reason is still unknown."

James tips his hat, "Pleasure to meet your aquai - "

"You're James Halligou?! I can't believe it! I mean, I anticipated this but I also sort of partially thought that Zander was messing with me. But still, this is amazing! I absolutely love your Mythology series." I stop myself, wow I can get carried away sometimes.

Taking a deep breath I take a moment to scan our surroundings.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but wheres your tomb stone?"

"You're quite the talker aren't you?" James says. Dammit, I can feel my cheeks heating up. I blush way to easily I swear. "Here, let's take a walk, I'll show you where it is."

He gestures towards the path. As we begin walking down the path James speaks up, "So May, what's your favorite book in that series?"

I take a moment to contemplate which one interests me the most. "Well, I'm currently studying mythology, so the whole series intrigues me. But if I had to pick favorites it would definitely be Greek mythology. I love all of the tales. The story line is pretty interesting as well, with the whole family line and how the earth and deity's came to be. The whole thing just fascinates me."

In the fall the cemetery is just beautiful. All of the intricately carved statues and tomb stones, leaves in a variety of colors scattered everywhere, it all just makes me want to rake up the leaves into one big pile and be a kid again. Though I'm in college, I'm still a kid at heart. That's one of the many things Zander and I have in common.

Zander starts to whine, "Though I love that you two are getting along, you can bond some other time. Can we please talk about something interesting?" Well, we may have a lot of things in common, but mythology is not one of them.

"If you're not interested in mythology, then how did you two become friends?"I ask.

Zander spreads out his arms and says, "Nature, we always talk about the landscapes he's seen on his adventures."

Oh, right. Zander is majoring in photography. He's an absolute nature fanatic. Well, at least we all have one thing in common.

"You would have died to see the pyramids in Egypt. Though their not as big as you'd expect, it's still absolutely breathtaking. I wish that I'd had this fellow with me on my adventures so we'd have those sights captured in a professionally taken picture." James teases.

"You know that we have the internet for that right?" Zander jokes.

"I have a question." I say. "If we can see wanderers, then why can't we see all of them? I mean, if every single living thing that died became a wanderer, we'd have dinosaurs wandering around. The earth would be covered in wanderers. We can only see a few of them? "

I gesture to James.

"So far, he's the only wanderer I've seen in this cemetery. So why not all of them? Why only a few wanderers?"

They both look at me with shocked faces. I don't know why I expected either of them to know the answer to my question.

"Well... Uh... I don't really know." Zander says. "How did you become a wanderer James? Do you remember?"

Face contorting into concentration, James says, "It's not a super clear memory. But I can try my best to try and make some sense of it. I probably died of old age. I must have died in my slee - "

Before he could finish I feel hands wrap around my neck. I see Zander leap forward, as if to stop something behind me, before my vision is cut off.
