Braxton's P.O.V.

These past several months with Piper have been extraordinary. She's amazing. Tori loves her and so do I. That's why I'm going to her parents house to ask for their blessing to marry her. It might be too early, but I don't care. She's the one for me.

When I pull up to their house, I sit in my car for a minute. I'm really nervous. I don't want to screw this up. Piper means everything to me. I can't lose her. I just can't.

I knock on the door and my heart starts pounding in my chest. Sam opens the door. I wasn't expecting him to be here. Oh well. Might as well get his blessing too.

"What do you want?"

"I came to talk to your parents. About Piper."

"What about her? Is she hurt?"

"No. She's fine."

"Then why do you want to talk to my parents?"

"I want to marry her."

He looks stunned. "Why?"

"Because I love her."

I hear talking behind him. "Sam, who's at the door?"

"It's Braxton. He wants to talk to you and dad."

"Well then let him in."

"Okay." He steps aside to let me in. "I'll leave you three to it then."

"No. You can stay. I might as well talk to all of you at the same time."

We all sit down. I take the chair while they sit on the couch.

"So Braxton, what brings you here today?"

"I wanted to talk to y'all about Piper."

"Is she alright."

"She's fine. Wonderful actually."

"Then what's wrong? Do you plan on kicking her out or something?"

"No. I would never. It's just the opposite actually."

"What is it then?"

"I wanted to ask you guys a very important question. It's actually a lot harder to ask then I thought."

"Whenever you're ready, dear. Take your time."

I take a few deep breaths. "I wanted to ask for your blessing to marry her. I love her and I'll be happy as long as I get to spend the rest of my life with her. She's the most special woman I've ever met."

Her dad stares at me. Then the questions begin. "You want to marry my daughter? Why?"

"I love her, sir. With all my heart."

"Isn't it a little early to be talking marriage?"

"I don't think so. I know that she's the only woman for me. If you say no, I'll respect your decision. I just want you to know that I won't stop trying until I do get your blessing. I want to spend forever with her."

"Son, you make it hard to not like you. You've just said exactly what I always hoped a man would say about my daughter. You're very respectful and that's a hard trait to find."

"Thank you, Mr. Anderson."

"Call me James. After all, we are going back to be family."

"Are you saying-"

"Yes. You have my blessing to marry Piper."

"Thank you, James." I turn to her mom. "Mrs. Anderson, do I have your blessing?"
