In the prison cell.
The trees cry for help
but they're tied to the ground
They reach above growing and stretching the branches
they reach for freedom, liberty, youth.
Mom always said ' The sky's the limit"
Well the trees know better
or why else would they spend all their lives
reaching above to touch the sky, they know what lays beyond.
I've been stuck here on the ground
haunted by true lies, cowardness and failure.
I look towards the sky
Is this truly were my journey ends?
So i begin to climb
climb the wall of life,
the wall of secrets,
lies,honesty,trust and love.
I'm no greater than the trees now.
They gave up reaching toward the sky,
The leaves falling down,The wind blowing in frustration
My grand wall still sturdy I reach to touch the sky.
But my wall has ended, no further I can go.
Closing my eyes I jumped off this wall I built,
the wall that haunted me in my dreams.
As I fell I never hit the ground,
I soared through the sky
I left behind all the worries.
My wall of limit became never ending
the sky was never my limit.
The trees gave up on their journey
They never let themselves touch the sky
I broke the boundary,
Im closer to the clouds than I've ever been before.
The trees knew the secret.
They whispered to us through the wind,
They wrote letters in the leaves.
They wanted us to see the sky isn't the limit
They tried to prove it by passing through the sky.
I made the journey,
our dreams don't end at the sky
We create our own limits
So you should know the sky isn't the limit, but the beginning.
