BEEP BEEP BEEP. BEEP BEEP BEEP. BEEP BEEP BEEP. The alarm clock sounded. A soft groan came from under the lavender covers and a slim, alabaster arm came out and flopped around until the hand met the alarm clock. The button was clicked, and all was silent again. The arm retracted back under the covers and soft snores were audible. The clock read 7:25 am, which was around an hour and a half before the young woman had to be out of the house and driving to New York City to go to her dream school.

"Aurora, get up sweetie," the mans gentle voice rung out. Fingers gripped the edge of the blanket and pulled it down slightly.
"What is it, Father?" The young girl, Aurora Borealis Prescott, asked.
"It is currently 8:25. You have only half an hour to get ready," her father said.
"Have I really been sleeping for that long?" She asked as she pulled the covers completely off. She stood up and walked over to the dresser as her father left the room. She had already selected her outfit and laid it neatly on top. She took a look at the checklist she left on top and went to her luggage. She opened it up and went through her list, checking every item off. She walked into the large washroom and closed the door behind her. She quickly brushed her teeth while combing her light golden brown hair. She stepped out of the washroom and started to get dressed. She put on a lavender polo shirt and a pastel pink cardigan over that. She put on a loose, black skirt and some leggings before taking her luggage, phone and phone charger and exiting the room.

She walked down the curved staircase, her right hand on the railing and her left holding her luggage. She put her luggage down at the front door and walked into the kitchen, greeting her mother and father.

"Morning, Mother. Morning, Father," she smiled at them. She sat down on a chair one of the butlers pulled out for her. A maid came and put a plate with an omelet on it in front of her. She nodded her head to thank the maid before picking up her fork with her left hand.

"You know, dear," her father spoke. "I have always thought it odd that both your mother and I are right handed, but you are left handed."

"Truly odd indeed, Father," she said after swallowing the bite. She pulled her phone out of her pocket, checking the time. "As I love to chat with you, it is time for me to depart. Farewell, I love both of you very much," she exited the kitchen and walked to the front door. She noticed that a butler had already taken her luggage outside as she put on her flats and walking outside. The butler was waiting at an open door, her luggage already inside where she would be sitting. She quickly thanked him before getting into the expensive vehicle and he shut the door. She looked out the window to see her parents. She waved at them and they waved back as the limousine pulled out of the circular driveway. She sighed as she leaned back in the chair.

"Miss Prescott, is everything well?" the driver asked Aurora.

"Everything is fine," she nodded.

Andy Turner, on the other hand, had woken up much earlier. She was excited to start college and maybe get a good, stable job to gain enough money to pay for her family's needs. The night before, she lay restless in bed and barely got any sleep. Her positive and cheery energy was enough to keep her awake, though. She got out of her bed and headed to the washroom. She brushed her teeth quickly and tied up her dark chocolate brown hair. She stepped out of the bathroom and swiftly put on a black tank top, a denim jacket, dark blue jeans and her leather boots. She took the luggage she had and her flip-phone out of the room before quickly going down the stairs. She walked up to the long counter that awaited her depart.

"Hi. I'd like to check out of my room, please," Andy said to the man on the other side of the counter.

"Certainly," he said. "Your keys?" Andy handed the keys to him. He wished her a good day and she began the long walk to campus.

Aurora had just gotten out of the limousine and taken her luggage out as it drove away. She took a look at what was in front of her and saw some people looking. Was it so weird to come to school in a limo? She shook the thought away and began walking. Suddenly she bumped into someone and fell backwards. She used her hands to prop herself up and see who had crashed into her. Her bold blue eyes observed the female who was about her height. The unknown female had dark chocolate brown hair that was tied up into a ponytail, and wore clothes that were completely opposite of the ones Aurora owned, and she had beautiful, captivating, hazel coloured eyes. The female stuck out an ivory-skinned hand. Aurora reluctantly placed her own hand in the female's. It's warm and comfortable. Our hands... fit together, I guess you could say. The female helped her up and Aurora picked up her luggage.

"I'm so sorry," the female said.

"No need to apologize," Aurora shook her head. "I should have watched where I was going."

"I saw you came here in a limo?"

"Yeah... my family is rich, but I do not like to talk about it," Aurora shrugged. "I have to get going now, registration and such. It was good talking to you," Aurora smiled before she walked towards the school building, which had built in dorm rooms. She entered the building and walked into what she assumed was the office.

"Hello, there! Are you a new student?" The cheerful secretary asked, rhetorically. "My name is Mrs. Diaz and I'm the school secretary. What's your name, hun?"

"My name is Aurora... Prescott," she spoke her last name reluctantly, hoping the secretary wouldn't recognize the name, or at least not say anything about it.

"Here's your room key, Aurora. Your room is room 274, on the second floor," Mrs. Diaz held out a key and placed it in Aurora's hand. "Your teacher is Mr. Rogers, classroom 3B."

"Do I have a roommate?" Aurora asked.

"Yep. Your roommate is... Andy Turner," Mrs. Diaz smiled to Aurora as she exited the office. Aurora walked towards the staircase and started her climb to the second floor. She looked at the numbers on the left side. 265, 266, 267, 268, 269, 270, 271, 272, 273, 274. She stopped in front of the door and took out the key. She inserted the key into the lock and twisted. A click was heard and she opened the door. The first thing was a small living room, beside a kitchen. Off to the side there was two rooms, each containing one bed, one nightstand, one dresser and one door leading to the main room. On the other side of the main room there was the door to the washroom. Aurora selected the room on the inside and put her luggage on the bed. Andy Turner. That person's name sounds like a male's name. Is that allowed? To put a female and a male in the same room? Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening.

"Hello?" A familiar female voice called out from the main room.

     "Hello?" Aurora called back.

"Hi! I'm your roommate, Andy Turner. Aurora decided to step out of the room, to be polite. Her jaw almost metaphorically hit the floor when she saw the female.

"It is you again," she said, with no rude tone, merely stating a fact. "You are my roommate."

"I guess I am," Andy smiled. "What's your name?"

     "Aurora. Aurora Borealis Prescott."
