Shuffling in the hallway.
In the back of the darkest cell, a figure slowly lifted its head. As it emerged into the light, the figure proved to be a man. He wore strange goggles over his eyes and was heavily equipped with weaponry. He shuffled to the cell door, his metal gloves scraping all the way down the cement wall. He tilted his head, straining to see down the hallway. Two guards appeared at the end of the hallway, each leading a new prisoner. One turned to the left and walked past. The other shoved his prisoner into the cell opposite of him.
The guard cast a wary glance into the cell the man occupied, shuddering as he realized he was watching him. As quickly as his dignity would allow, he exited.
The man turned his attention to the new prisoner. It was a girl, and she couldn't have been any older than 19. Her emerald eyes examined him curiously.
He snarled, turning away and disappearing into the darkness.
She glared at his retreating figure, hands glowing a light purple.
Suddenly, both lifted their heads as a pained scream echoed down the hallway which ended with a long string of curses in Russian. The guard from earlier returned, leading his prisoner to an empty cell and tossing him inside. The prisoner was a man who appeared to be around 20. He was furnished with a mop of curly red hair and had piercing green eyes.
A strange collar-like device was strapped to his neck. He gripped the cell doors tightly, glaring at the guard who simply smiled and strode away.
The three prisoners examined each other warily until the red-headed man spoke up."Names?" His strong Russian accent caught their attention, and both turned to face him.
"Why should we tell you?"
The girl replied, crossing her arms."Why shouldn't you?" He raised an eyebrow.
"We're all stuck in here together, might as well know each other's names.""Fine. The name's Clover."
The girl answered.
"What about you?""Felix."
He turned his attention to the man in the dark cell.
"And you?""I don't have to tell you anything." He shifted his position, leaning with his back against the cell doors.
"Come on, Einstein. We exchanged names, now it's your turn."
He turned to glare at Felix intently.
"Alright, whatever." Felix sat cross-legged, turning his attention back to Clover.
They conversed quietly for a while until both ran out of things to say and fell silent.
Suddenly, a noise rather like fingernails scraping across a chalkboard echoed out of the dark cell.
Both tried to ignore it, but as the noise grew louder, their patience waned."Einstein, keep it down." Felix hissed, plugging his ears.
The scraping stopped, only to start louder a moment later. Felix cursed, standing and peering down the hallway.
"As fun as this was, I don't plan on staying here forever."Clover pulled herself to her feet.
"How do you plan on getting out of here?""Well, if they hadn't "temporarily" disabled my powers, I could get out easily, but since that isn't the case, I'll have to think of another way."
Felix sighed."What about this?" Clover grinned, her hands beginning to glow faintly. She gripped the cell doors, the glow increasing. Within a few minutes, the lock began to melt. She stopped and tugged on the cell door, grinning as it swung open. She trotted over to Felix's cell.
