"Niamh." Phillipa hugs me the second she sees me. "You weren't here all week."

"Busy week."

"How is the therapist."

"Great."

"Niamh." Chris says, taking my hand and spinning me. I laugh and Oak rushes over.

"Hello Ms. Let me disappear for a week. You had us all worried."

"Sorry."

"Watch the show from the wings?" He asks me but more so Lin.

"Like the last time you did. Quiet. But yes."  We both smile and he spins me like Chris spun me. I look at Phillipa who is looking at me sadly. God dammit Niamh. Why did you tell her anything. You were on Broadway and yet you cant keep up an act around her for two days.

"I hope you didn't stay away because of what you said to me." I shake my head.

"I was just busy."

"I'm sorry that I stopped saying much after the first day. I made it awkward."

"No, that was me."

"It wasn't. I'm just concerned, Niamh." I shake my head.

"Don't be." I say 'hi' to everyone and stand in the wing during the show, far behind the sight line and out of the way of them and run off again during the bows. I start to shake but keep walking towards my room until my legs collapse underneath me. I turn around and see Leslie in the hallway behind me. I stand back up before he gets to me. I swear if I hear the words, "Are you okay?" Again, I'm gonna blow. I find a seat and begin to read my book when Lin closes it.

"Hey!"

"So you know that thing we do before each show outside?"

"Yeah."

"We don't have anything to do."

"You're kidding."

"I'm not, please do something. We have to announce you anyways."

"What do you want me to do?"

"I don't know, sing something from something." Not to long later, I am walking out of the door with Phillipa, Lin, and Leslie.

"Hello, hello, hello." Why does he do that. Oh well. "Yes, this is that girl that fell in the streets months ago and was seen with Pippa and somehow you guys found her online." I hear someone shout 'who is she?' "She is my foster child, actually, and she was just in 'Matilda the musical' very, very recently, so, she can sing!" Several people say 'woo!' "But Pippa's starting because she's nervous." He doesn't say because I nearly died the last time I performed. "Give it up for Pippa and Niamh." They clap and he hands me a microphone before backing away.
Pippa sings the first part, somewhere between a quarter and a third and says,

"You've got this."

I hand the microphone back to Lin.

"Oh. My. God. I didn't even know she could sing like that. Give it up for these two Ladies!" They cheer and Pippa gives me a high five. We go back inside when Jasmine opens the door and Leslie gives me a water. I almost forgot that he knew I fell.

"I've heard you sing but wow!" She says.

"Thanks. You did great."

"So did you! Come on." I follow her back to her room where she begins to get ready.
