Someone walked towards him and stared at him. Mad shook with fear, not knowing what to do. The 'someone' was a woman, as he could tell from her blond curls falling down her back. She blinked twice, jerked her head and gave a small squeal.

"Oh, the Hatter!" she squeaked and wrapped her arms around his neck. "It has been forever!"

"Do I know you?" Mad asked, shaking with fear. But as his eyes met her kind blue ones, his fears calmed down.

"Yes, but it has been a very long time. I've waited for guidance to go back to Wonderland for 15 years and finally you came!"

"15 years? I was a young boy then. Where did we meet?" asked Mad again.

"Your tea party! How stupid I thought you were. But I quite like the riddle, 'Why does a raven look like a writing desk?' And you yourself didn't know the answer either! So you're released from the six o'clock punishment right? Or you won't be here. Do you still sing that song? 'Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at.' Ha ha ha..."

Suddenly, it came to Hatter. The lively girl who joined his tea party 3 years ago in the deep parts of the Fantasy Woods. He, the March Hare and the Dormouse (who slept through most of the conversation) questioned her with word riddles, urged her to tell stories. But they did not treat her quite well, and she soon stormed away.

Then he saw her again later on that day at the Queen of Hearts court. He was holding bread and butter, and he noticed her groaning and stuffing giggles. He was quite shocked to see her being chased by the card soldiers and the Queen yelling crazily behind,

"Off with her head!"

It was terrible(though the Queen doesn't really execute anyone) and he never saw her again.

Until now.

"But it was only for 3 years," he muttered.

"3 years? Oh, I see. 1 year in Wonderland is 5 years in my world. There's a time difference."

She tossed her curls and talked on.

"I'm Alice, by the way. Alice Wonders."

"I'm Mad. The Mad Hatter."

"Of course I know. The Cheshire Cat told me before. Oh yes, are you taking me back to Wonderland for a new adventure?"

Mad then remembered his true purpose for being there, to share his love with someone else. But was Alice the one who was destined to be with him? A girl who thought his party was stupid and that he was mad? Hatter smiled, only time would tell.

"Yes," he answered simply, "but are you willing to sacrifice your time there? You'll miss quite a lot here through this journey."

"Of course!" she cried and took his hand. "I missed Wonderland too much! Too much!"
