"What? Well, if you don't want us to work out, then we won't." I smiled over at him, though I meant it.
He took a few moments, but kept staring back and forth from me to the road.
"Marci..." He started to say, I looked over. " You really want to hear the complete truth don't you".
"Of course I do." My eye twitched a bit.
"I really want us to work out" He started to say, he looked my way before focusing in back on the road. "But if we don't I'm glad we could be together now."
I smiled, trying not to take it much to heart. I looked out the window and day dreamed, wondering where he truly is taking me.
1 hour later.......
"Are we there yet?" I whined, getting sick of being in the car.
He looked over at me, with a smirk planted in his lips. I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
Half an hour later.......
I was almost alseep from the calm rhythm of the road and the music was soft and at a low volume.
He roared onto a bumpy road and dead stopped. I look up to see a familiar sight.
" You took us on our first date to our cabin? " I asked confused on why he would take us here.
"Yeah, don't you remember? This is where we first met" He sat in his seat and smiled out to the lake.
A smiled creeped onto my lips as I remembered the day I met him. Which isn't hard considering it was only two years ago.
-------------Flash back------------
My mother basically throw me in the car, bucked my seatbelt and sprinted to the driver seat and got in.
"What the hell mom?" I yelled. I was a big girl now, I'm sure I could handle getting in the car and putting my seatbelt on by myself.
"There is someone I want you to meet. I waited up til now for you to meet him but we think this is a great opportunity for you guys to meet and bond." She casually smiled at me. Which I rolled my eyes to.
" You've got to be kidding. You found someone and you think a weekend will make us bond. Have you met me? " I questioned her, glaring up at her.
She put her slender fingers over her mouth and shhed me. The wrinkles on my forehead tensed more up when my frown deepened.
I huffed and crossed my arms, flopping to my left side to stare out the window in silence.
It took two hours just to get there, she pulled the car up in front of a cabin that out looked a lake, with a dock. Though I was amazed, I didn't show any emotion. I sighed heavily and got out and watched my mom get out and fast walk over to an older but attractive looking man. He smiled once she was in sight and wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up, twirling her around. The laugh she let out was one I never heard of, once he put her down. She smiled and turned and reached her arm out towards me.
"This is my daughter Marcella, Marcella this is Jack." Her smile brightly shined as she placed her hand and head on his chest.
He smiled at me and stuck his hand, I smiled back at him and shook his hand. Then a younger guy came out holding his phone.
"Dad, we get no service out here" He whined, still looking at his phone.
"Andrew, we have guests. Come say hello." He spoke softly.
Andrew looked up from his phone, looking at both me and my mom.
"Uh, hi." He stood awkwardly as he waved.
"Andrew, this is Linda, the very special lady I've told you about." Jack again wrapped his arm around my moms waist. Andrew stood there staring at her, then his attention went to me. " And this is her daughter Marcella. " He smiled and nodded at me.
He shook both our hands, as he reached out to shake my hand, i felt butterflies fly in my stomach, his palms were a little sweaty.
