Broken Dreams
Here we lie beside this stream
Thinking of all these broken dreams
Thoughts of a past best forgotten
Hidden beneath this endless sobbing
I wish we could be so much more
To be needed at this time of war
To fight for what we believe
Even if it costs us tomorrow's eve
Our broken hearts are bleeding
Inside we are screaming
Let us wage within this war
Our sorrow and things we mourn
Nothing but the beating of bitter hearts
Such a shatter to our mother's heart
For what can you do now but smile in tears
Thinking of all these broken dreams
Wondering if they were ever real
Darkest Sight
Have you ever seen them fight
Feel the hatred seething behind lies
Felt the hand upon your throat
Seen your own blood flow
Did you ever watch as the rage went on
Wondering if it would stop at all
Pleading into the air for hope
Needing a way out of this fight
These things I think as I move
The darkest sight I try to let go
