Morning came with heartache
The Sun rose without it's shine
A time of tears that shimmered
Arrows of depression that pined
No wind came to soothe the rage
Clouds that rumbled released it's rain
So dark within the soul was I
For death came not for those destined
But struck the innocent, unprotected
A crime of fire that fate wouldn't rewind
Not even for a soul such as I
Cries of the angels sounded above
Shadows cast upon the ground
My eyes that couldn't see blurred
Already the storm had given it's might
Sighing, defeated, I start home
Knowing that death is life's toll
Even knowing this my heart broke
For Heaven is far from this place
Where the rain mists and shadows reign
