Chapter three

XAVIER'S POV
"Stupid people just don't work hard enough and expect to earn a lot of money."

"Sir?" I heard Kate say.

"What?" I reply feeling so disgusted by her sluggishness.

"Yyyyy your keys." She said with a slight stammer clearly indicating her fear.

"Well it's about time." I say taking a glance at my middle aged maid before heading to my Ferrari. I need this deal.

ELIANA'S POV
        "Mum I can't marry that man I don't even know him not to talk of loving him. We are no longer in the 19th century when arranged marriages work or even exist. Did you and dad get into an arranged marriage?
"Well yeah honey and we are still very much in love and we even had you honey."

"Mum I have a boyfriend okay? I love him very much and you know this. I could not even imagine myself dream of another guy."

Honey calm down okay?

Calm Down? Calm Down? How could I possibly calm down when all I am feeling is hurt pain sorrow distress and agony.

"I can't believe that you, mum, is saying this"

"Honey its not that bad"

"Easy for you to say. You are not the one that is being forced to marry a complete stranger, whose name you don't even know, when you are already in love with another guy that you have been dating for five years.
Suddenly I felt a drop of tears slip through my eyes and roll down my cheek, I was crying. I am going to spend the rest of my life with a guy I don't know simply because of a stupid business deal. They are practically selling me. Only the taught of it shattered me

I heard some someone come into the room it was my dad. His entire face depicted sadness. I could see he felt my pain. He clearly understood what I was going through.

"Honey" he said as stroke my hair and cleaned my  tears
"I know you're sad but there nothing I can do. We really need him and this deal to. I didn't want to tell you this but it seems you have to know. Our business is falling. Apparently our opponents products are out selling ours and if we don't get this deal we may loose one of our ranches in Mexico and our hotel in Oklahoma. Well many things were happening and we really needed money so I got a bank loan for about 80 million and it turns out I can't repay it before the deadline. That's why we need him honey "

"But dad I can get a job and ....."

"No honey I don't want you to suffer so  don't worry. The only reason you have too marry him is because the Chinese do not give deals to bachelors because to them bachelors are irresponsible .
But sweetie here's a deal if I can pay back the bank loan  and start the telecommunications business in a year you can divorce him. Is that okay with you? "

"It's okay daddy but only because I love you and mum." Though I was mad at her for not understanding my pain I understood that she wanted the best for our family.

When I went back to my room I cried myself to sleep.
