You're the new alpha?!

The March part two mike pov.

i walk out of the pack house, i look up at the sky and think what in the world happened to me!?! submitting to a child like that ughh. why didn't i challenge her right then and there? dammit!  I take off quickly; running through the woods getting to the perimeter as fast as possible. Now look at me following her orders like a mere pup!!  dodging and weaving through the trees, like a warrior in battle. there is no movement wasted; every next move   calculated to the finest detail. i haven't ran this hard, this fast sense i was training Harley and Elizabeth; the damn brats! just thinking about it makes me a little proud how both of them turned out with there ability's. They're both formidable, Harley in a fight and Elizabeth at hunting. slowly memory's start to flow in my mind, i cant help but have a slight smile on my face.

Running thought the trees irritated with the yelps and wines from behind me. i groan when i hear a wack and a high pitched cry. i sigh exasperated picking up my pace and heading toward a tree; jumping off it into a back flip which turns me around then i speed off back to the two pups huddled at the base of a tree.   

what happened here? i questioned     

 i ran into a tree what dose it look like?!   Harley yelled in what i believe is frustration wile sitting on the ground.

well that's what happens when u have your head up your ass!! now stop your hooting and hollering and get moving!!  i yelled back annoyed with the tone this brat uses constantly with me. 

what did you just say!?  she yelled back with more vigor rising to a attack position; her hind legs crouched ready to pounce. 

 Harley maybe we should just do what he says and stop arguing   Elizabeth spoke up.

 Liz, he cant get away with treating us like shit all the time. listen here you old fart, u cant talk to me or Liz like that have some respect!  she growled loudly in my direction. 

 i could say the same for you, acting like you have  authority  because your the alphas daughter! i don't even know why Don is even making me train the two of you!! your just going to end up as normal wolfs not to mention you two are girls you shouldn't even be trained past the basics!!   i said while shaking my head.

we both already finished the basics!! obviously my dad sees something  in me and Liz that would make him force you train us more then what the quote, unquote, "normal" wolfs get. what is your beef  with us anyway?!?! she said while stomping her paws on the ground angrily. 

i don't have to answer to you, pup!! now start running NOW!!  i yelled, getting in her face. 

she looked at me and growled quietly. i actually thought she was going to attack me with the look in her eyes, but then she took off in the direction we where all previously heading in. Not long after, Elizabeth took off with her. i shook my head again trying to get my emotions in check before following suit. i catch up quickly, then pushing forward taking the lead once more to resume the damn training.

coming back to reality,  i see im close to my destination. i howl and mindlink the perimeter warriors to come quickly. i run a few meters more and stop waiting impatiently. i smelt johnny approaching from my left. looking in his direction as he busts though the thicket. 

mike whats up!  johnny practically yelled while trotting towards me happily.

where are the others? i ask quickly looking around. 

oh there on their way. when i heard your howl, i knew it was you so, i sprinted over hoping for good news!! he said practically jumping with joy.

good news about what exactly? i tilt my head in confusion.

about Harley finding out that im going to be her third!!! duh!!

shit!! how am i going to tell this child what happened. i thought sadly

 johnny when the others get here im going to have a quick discussion and i need you to focus and listen to everything i say got it? i look at him seriously 

of coarse ill be perfectly quiet i swear!   he said while he sat, but he couldn't keep still. 

good now relax and stop the fidgeting damnit! i say in a relaxed voice.

suddenly the others trickled out of the woods. over a dozen of wolves, all different color furs and sizes come out looking worried and confused.

finally! now everyone sit and listen. i said quickly i need to get this over with. 

everyone did as i said quickly and waited patiently as i try to find the words.

the alpha is dead, Harley did not get the alpha title with his passing, but she did not take it by force she is calling a grand meeting to discuss what happened in more detail. so everyone has there chance to ask questions and if they want to challenge her for the title of alpha. now she is having a small meeting with the  warriors at the pack house so they all heading in the right direction  can watch the perimeter while you all are at the meeting and they should be on there way to relieve you soon. once you smell them, start heading to the pack house so you get there as soon as possible. Harley will not start the meeting until everyone that needs to be there, is there so when the time comes, be light on your feet.  i say slowly so they dont miss a word. i see the gears turning in their heads as they process what i said. when i see that they all understand and none of them have questions, that will be answered at a later time, i stand and start walking to johnny.

now that you all understand head back to your stations and get ready, try to stretch and relax a tad but dont slack off!! now GO, not you johnny. i need to talk to you. i say not looking him in the  eyes. 

whats wrong mike?? he says in a worried voice. 

i look at him and i automatically feel pity rise up in me. i cant tell him. i just cant damnit!! DAMNIT!!! 

you know what? it can wait. go back to your station i say quickly looking away from him again. 

alright whatever you say sir! see you later!! he yells as he trots away. 

i turn and start heading to my first town. i try to run away from him; away from the thought of a soon to be broken man.
