How Didn't You Know?!

"One, two, down!" I yelled as I started to be lifted up onto my base's hands. "One, two, down, up!" My backspot yelled as I started to get in a basic pyramid position. "One, two, down, up!" I yelled as I was lifted up into a full extention pyramid. "One, two, down, up!" I yelled as I moved into position to a scorpion. "One, two down, up!" The backspot yelled, as the base's threw me. I was in the air smiling as I twirled into a craddle. "Okay that's enough for today go get some rest. We have a busy day tomorrow!" My coach yelled as I was being set on the ground. The whole squad went into their designated locker rooms to change.

I didn't have time to change so I just threw on my jacket, grabbed my duffel, and ran out to the parking lot. "Okay, mom's expecting me at six...." I said as I look at my phone, "....and it's five thirty....Welp, no time like the present.... to die from out of breath." I started to run and booked it to the hospital. I was using all the back roads that I knew of to avoid traffic, and not get hit, by crazy people.

"Finally. And it's only....six...... dang it!" I continue to run into the hospital. As I run I greeted some of the employees there. "Hi, Jade!" I said as I was running by a girl with black hair. "Lisa! Slow down you're gonna get hurt!" She yelled in concern. "Don't worry I got it!" I yelled as I turned my head, but still running forward.

"Watch out!" She yelled. "Ugh.".... 'I bumped into something.' I thought as I looked up.... 'or someone?' "Hey I'm sorry." The boy said as he held out his hand, for me to get up. "No, it's my fault. I'm sorry." I said as I grabbed his to get up. "Where ya going." I asked as I brushed off my clothes. "I'm visiting my grandmother. What about you? He asked, I looked at him and said, "My mom." "Oh,.. yeah.. sorry." He said awkwardly.

"Hu? No, your fine." I said with a smile as I looked up at him. "Oh hey Lisa. Not to get to personal or anything. I didn't know you were apart of the Sparks." Kazu asks looking at my jacket. "Hu? Oh yeah. How didn't you know that I've known you my whole life?" I asked feeling slightly mad. "Well, I never really thought." He replied. "Mmhhmm." I said thinking. "Hey! We have a performance tomorrow you and your should stop by. Please, you can see me for real, for once." I said hopefully. "Sure. I will." He said with a smile.

I looked down at my phone. "Sorry I gotta go, but looking forward to you there. Bye!" I said as I waved goodbye. "Yeah. See you later." He said walking to his grandma's room.

"Hey mom." I said walking into the hospital room. "Hey Lis. I heard you talking to a boy." She said wiggling her eyebrows. "How? You are a hall away from where I bumped into him." I said eyeing the woman who gave me life. "I have ears everywhere, Lis." She said in a creepy tone. "You have nurses mother." I said to her straight in the eye. "Hey! Ears are ears." She fought back. "They're not your ears." I said keeping my stance. "Lisa. Just answer me." She said kind of sad. "He was Kazu, nothing big." I said sitting down on her bed. "Oh.. He likes you." She said wiggling her eyebrows looking at me. "Yeah sure mom." I said unsure. "So! How's cheer going." She said changing the topic. "Good. We have a performance tomorrow." I said looking at her. "Can you have Bandou, tape it?" She asked wanting to go. "Yeah, she is, no problem." I said giving my mom hope.

After talking to my mom for an hour I had to go back home. "See ya mom." I said as I got up and started walking out. "See ya Lis. Do good!" She said as I was almost out of the room. "I will. I promise." With that, I was out of the room starting to walk to the exit.
"Next, stop home." I said as started pulling walking out of the parking lot to my house.
