Did I make it?

Wednesday morning

I know I had to try and avoid Aaron today. It was so embarrassing how he thinks I'm so easy that I'll make out with someone who has a girlfriend. Is it something I do that makes people think that? Because he's not first to think I would do that (Nick).

I got ready and gloomily rode to school. When I walked in I wasn't very please to see Aaron waiting for me.

"Hey, Danielle I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried to kiss you. I was very out of line. I wasn't I wasn't thinking clearly but I promise it won't happen again."

I just don't know why you thought I'd make out with you and you had a girlfriend. I know you've probably heard this million times but I'm not like that. I have enough self respect to know not to mess with someone who isn't available. I know we don't know each other that well but it was still wrong if you to assume that I'm that easy.

"Danielle, I know. But, I broke up with Avalon today."

Aaron what the hell! First your a complete douche to me and now you're suddenly playing nice guy? You're so confusing.

"I know, but that's why I'm saying sorry. You know yesterday when you pushed me into the pool I hit my nose. It still hurts. "

You do know you're not getting an apology from me, right? You deserved it and if I could go back even after this little talk I'd do it again.

"You're totally right I did deserve it. But I've been meaning to ask you, before you ran off yesterday you said something about this happening again? But I'm pretty sure I've only ever tried to kiss you once. "

He can't find out. No one can.

Um, no I'm pretty sure I didn't say that.

"Hey, its fine if you don't want to talk about it. I can tell that it makes you uncomfortable."

Well, I've got to get to class....

"Oh right, me too. See you later." I'm totally getting my 100 bucks. This is too easy. "

I walked to my Honors history class. When I walked in Noah was already there. I came to sit down and pull my things out before the teacher arrived.

"Danielle! Hey. You had me worried when you ran off yesterday. Is everything okay?"

Yes Noah,  everything is fine. Thanks for worrying though.

"Danielle, I know everything's not fine. Nick did something didn't he? That jerk."

Noah, it's okay I'm fine I promise.

"Listen, Danielle I know he can come off as a jerk sometimes, but he's a good guy. It's just that we've been through some stuff and that really shook him, you know?"

Oh Noah, I had no idea.

"Don't get me wrong, his past is no excuse for how he treats people, but that helps him deal with it I guess. Kind of like a distraction."

Noah, if you ever want to talk about it, just that I'm here.

"Thanks Danielle, that means a lot."

Mr Sawyer: before we start class, a reminder for the girls who tried out for the girls Lacrosse team the list is now posted outside of the classroom. Don't even think about going right now either. You'll have to wait until my class is over.

I guess some people couldn't comprehend correctly because right after he said that a girl ran out. The teacher also did too leaving the rest f the class filled with whispers until he came back.

"So do you think you made the team?"

Honestly, I know I did good but Avalon said she would make sure I didn't. At first I didn't think anything of it and now I'm a little on edge. I mean I really hope I did but there were a lot of great girls too.

"I wouldn't be so doubtful. You were definitely one of the best of them, if not the best. "

Thanks Noah I said blushing.

Before I know it class was over. Mr. Sawyer had never came backs and the bell had rung.

"Hey Danielle, I was wondering god you'd like to come to our first Lacrosse game of the year. I mean you don't have to but I would really like if you were there. "

I'll definitely be there! Can't wait.

"Awesome see you at 5."

Now to see if I made the team. Come on where is the list? Football tryouts, Volleyball....... Lacrosse! The list said

I stopped after that. I was so excited that I had made it. I guess hard work paid off. I began to do my happy dance in the middle of the hall.

"Nice dancing"

I turned around and it was Aaron. If you ever sneak up on me again I'll sucker punch you. That's something you and I both know that I'm capable of.

"You definitely are."

Suddenly it felt as if everything around me had slowed down. His deep eyes met mine, and he held the gaze. I sucked in a sharp breath. Suddenly I couldn't breathe. I can't seriously like Aaron. Could I? Of course not! Those eyes don't fool me. He's still the same jerk. Remember no one is ever how they seem. I couldn't even think straight with him looking at me like that.

Ahem, well I'll uh, see you at the game later.

"Definitely look forward to seeing you again."

I walked away not sure what just happened. I knew I cloud possibly like Aaron. I felt something special between me and Noah and I wouldn't let Aaron ruin that. He just wasn't my type and I wouldn't let a stupid look get in the way of that. I'm also not tying to get on another girls bad side. I know my mom would want to do something big to help me out again but this time she couldn't. I had to remember what happened last time and not make a sequel to it.
