• Aubrey's POV •

"Jaycee, do you really think Kayden has herpes?" I randomly ask my best friend as we make our way to our last class before lunch.

"You're weird," she laughs. "Of course not, that's just a rumour. He had to go interstate for his parents wedding." She jabs me in the side. "You'd believe anything, haha!"

"Oww!" I yell playfully, jabbing her harder. "I hate social studies with a passion." Jaycee groans.

"Really? I kinda like it." I reply, pushing the classroom door open. "You're weird. But that's why I love you," she laughs, walking through in front of me.

I take in the completely different classroom. The tables are stacked to the right, opposite the window side.

The chairs are set out forming a huge jellybean shape since it's kinda true that the circle isn't really a circle, ever.

We take a seat with the window behind us since it's the only place with two available seats that are next to each other.

The classroom door closes for the last time and every last person is seated, wondering what's going on.

"What's going on?" I speak my mind to Jaycee who replies with a shrug.

"Okay students, geez settle down would you?" Ms.Peckers aims that last part at the one kid Alex who just keeps talking when everyone else shuts up.

Eventually, he closes his mouth and listens.

"Okay, today Social Studies is gonna have a twist. We will play a game called Personal space." She starts counting how many students there are while awkward silence fills in.

"Alright, there are an even number of all you little boogers. Now I will explain this game that you have been pondering."
She sighs and flips through a set of papers and notes until she finds the rules for the game.

"The class with pick two people who do not know each other. The unlucky kids have to walk towards each other until they feel uncomfortable with the space between them, in which the person will simply say 'stop'. Seems simple enough, do you all get the game?"
Her eyes scan the room for unsure kids.

"Okay. Let the games begin, and no messing around, I'm gonna be right at my desk."

We start to decide who goes first when Ms.Parkers pipes in, "and once everyone has had a turn, kindly let me know."

With that said, the first two decided people are Courtney who is a bookworm and a guy called Jack, who I don't know.

Jack yells stop at the top of his lungs when Courtney only takes one step and we look to the teacher but she has headphones in and is eating a full on Italian feast so she didn't notice.

New few go by fast, mainly with me, Jaycee and a guy called Nicholas having a side conversation about which Doctor Who doctor was better.

"David Tennant all the way. I'm in love with Rose too." I say, feeling happy about my choice.

"Nah, I liked eleventh doctor and Amy the most." Jaycee says.
