Video above is of Aubrey's singing video. (I do not own it nor do I take credit for it)
It is Jess Conte's video.• Aubrey's POV •
Ding dong.
I dash down the hallway and swing the door open, giving Jay a big hug before rushing her inside and closing the door.
"Thanks for coming to help, it's hard to film by myself." I say, closing the door of my studio that I film in for YouTube. "Naw, I live like, a metre away. Don't mention it," she laughs.I have 2, 358, 973 subs and my goal is to get three million by Christmas. Some of you may think that me being a youtuber is cringe worthy, but I enjoy it so deal with it.
I mostly sing because I'm very talented at that and I want to be able to share my talent to inspire others.
I stand behind my piano, and stay still while Jay aims the camera.
I grab the microphone and bring its flexible stand to below and in front of my face.I run through the song, practicing where I'm putting my fingers on the piano. I've been practicing the song everyday since I got my last video out of the way sometime around a week and a half ago. It has nearly three million views and a little less than two million likes.
I'm pretty proud of where I am. I tie my hair up into a high ponytail and let Jay touch up my eyeliner and contour. The camera is on my left on an angle, so it gets a good angle of me.
"You're beautiful, are you ready to go?" Jay asks, helping my confidence. "Yeah one sec."I run out of the room and come back in with a cup of sugar water. I gargle it because it somehow helps my vocal singing, and sit it out of he cameras view.
<Cue the music!>
I take a deep breath. "Action," I hear Jay say before I play the first note and sing.
"Little do you know, how I'm breaking while you fall asleep"
I sing passionately, putting my strength into it but also making it sound sad-ish.
"Little do you know, I'm trying to pick myself up piece, by piece. Little do you know I...need a little more time."
I keeping singing the rest of the song, focused in my hands slowly jumping across the piano in small movements.
"So lay your head one me."
After I hear Jay say 'cut', I look up with a grin. "Okay, let's watch it!" She squeals, "You were on fire."
"Thanks," I laugh, giving her a hug. We walk with the camera and plug a cord into it and then the other into my computer. I open a girl and the video pops up. I press play and we watch in silence, smiles on our faces.
Jay and I sound exactly the same when singing, and we've uploaded one duet of I Hate you I Love you but apart from that she's a little more shy to show people her talent.
The video ends just after my last word and note. "That was pretty good, I don't think I need to re-film it." I say, satisfied. "Yep, I'm glad you're happy with it. This calls for some fun in the kitchen!" She calls.
Oh no. Whenever there's fun in the kitchen it ends up being a mess. When mum gets back from shopping with her sister, she's gonna be mad if we don't cleanup.
Ehh, I don't care. "Okay, let's cook or bake or whatever, but first, we need to pack this up." I gesture to the fold up piano and the camera and microphone.
"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine," Jay says, dragging out the 'i' for two months. I laugh as we fold up the piano and pack the camera and microphone into their cases.
"Okay, now finally for some well deserved fun." I yell, as we run to the kitchen like nine year olds and start pulling out everything sweet that we can find to make whatever monster we decide to create.
We sit at the breakfast bar and scroll through Pinterest and tumblr, trying to find a good thing to make.
"Ooh, fancy Nutella pastry! Let's make these!"
I look to Jay's phone screen and see a delicious looking pastry puff with strawberry a and cream and Nutella oozing out. "Okay, looks good."
( I didn't actually look it up I just made up the ingredients if you try it in real life idk how it will turn out.)
We make one big one each. First, we lay the pastry flat on the chopping board then spread out Nutella and plop a spoonful in the middle that isn't spread out. Then, we melt some Cadbury chocolate and evenly pour it on. We add a bit of whipped cream inside before closing them up and putting them in the oven to puff up. It took ten minutes to do, but now we're getting them out of the oven after a they've puffed up.
"Here," Jay says, handing me oven mitts. I put them on and grab the tray out of the oven and set it on a heat pad on the island counter.
"Okay, now for the toppings." She cuts the tops off four strawberry a then cuts them in half while I spray out a swirl of whipped cream on each of the pastries.
I tip chocolate powder that you usually use on the cream of hot chocolates, onto the cream on the pastries. When I'm satisfied, Jay places the half strawberries into the cream and I tip the powder on top.
"Oh my gosh, these look amazing!" Jay squeals.
"Let's try them!" I say exitedly, looking at the clock. "It's one o'clock, let's count this as lunch.""Okay, are we ready?" I ask.
We sit next to each other with a knife and fork in hand, ready to dig in.
"Go!"
We cut our food and enjoy the messy heaven."That was so good," Jay exclaims as she puts her plate in the dishwasher after I do.
"I know right? We should try something else soon."We sat on the couch watching an adventure time marathon and being full.
Ding dong!
I slowly get up and Jay follows.
It wouldn't be my mum because she has keys so she could easily come in. I open the door to see Jays dad."Hey, James! How have you been?" I ask.
"Oh, good. Still looking for a house for Luke. So, we were going to go to the movies with Jay, and I came to ask if you wanted to come with your mum?" He asks, hopefully.
"Well, my mum's out shopping, but sure I'll come." I reply.
"Here, you can step in while we get our stuff." I invite him in and lead him down the hallway to kitchen and living room. Jay picks up her phone from the table and bag and I get my phone and $20 dollars. I slip them in my pocket and we all leave, hopping into their family car. Luke wasn't there so it was just me, Jay, and her parents.
As we pulled into the rooftop parking of the close mall, we walked inside the mall and up the escalator to the cinema floor. We pay for tickets and buy popcorn and coke and enter theatre 4.
As we are seated, the ads and movie trailers start and then the lights dim and the movie 'Blind Eyes' starts. It's a romance love story that plays with your emotions and if you're someone like me or Jay, you'll cry in the sad parts.
