TMUG: PART ONE

"I heard you're back home, can we talk?"

I suddenly interrupted by the text I've just received. Binaba ko ang Contouring brush na hawak ko and everyone in the room was looking at my reaction while reading the text.

"Is everything alright, Ms. Kim?" Claire asks which bring my senses back.

I nod without leaving my eyes on the phone and replied the message. "Who's this?"

Binalik ko ang cellphone sa table and continue my class, I was now doing the highlighting part of her cheek bones.

Tumunog ulit ang cellphone ko pero hindi ko na pinansin. I know it can wait, I'll just distract myself kung babasahin ko pa. Why am I even so tensed? Its been 2 days since I've came back from Korea. 8 years have passed, at simula ng makabalik ako, palagi na lang akong natetense sa kahit saan.

"So this was the last kind of make-up I'll be demonstrating today, as you can see, I made an heavy night make-up, perfect for night parties or any other formal events that was held at night. Red and Black gowns or dresses will be suitable for this kind of make-up. Smokey dark eyes, with a winged eyeliner, and some Magic Kim fairy falsies, partner up with #7 Magic Kim NY Lipcream."

Everyone in the class stared at my model like they've seen a wonderful art piece. They all clapped their hands which honestly still overwhelmed me even though kilalang kilala na ako sa buong mundo, nakaka-flattered pa din.

I actually have 27 students sa batch ngayon dito sa Olongapo. They consider themselves as the luckiest batch of this make-up class dahil 1st time ko lang makapagturo dito sa Pilipinas dahil kahit ako ang founder ng Magic Kim Make-Up arts, 1st time ko lang magtuturo sa mga branch ko dito sa Pilipinas. I already have 5 branches of Magic Kim Make-Up arts in the Philippines and I was planning to visit them all especially na 1st time ko lang makikita ang mga branch na yun dahil masyado akong nagfocus sa Make-Up class ko sa Korea since doon naman ako nagsimula.

"Any question for today's session?" I asked while they're still looking to Bea, my model for today.

"Ms. Kim?" Someone from the back raised her hand and stand up.

I read her name plate, "Yes, Irene? What's the question?"

"Uhm, Hi, Ms. Kim!" she greeted cheerfully na parang nahihiya, everyone giggled, even me.

"Haha. Hi, Irene!" I smiled. "So what's your question, dear?"

"Uhmmm... Ms. Kim, related po ito sa diniscuss niyo kanina about concealing. what's your advice when it comes from having a scar? Paano po ba masesecure na hindi siya maoobvious sa make-up?  Yun lang po, Ms. Kim. Thank you!" she said and take her seat.
