"Kristin wake up!!" My friend Ella yelled across the Girls Room.
"I'm up ok, jeez it's like Mrs.Hinger never lets us sleep!" I said
"Haha, right, well just hurry up because all of the other kids are downstairs waiting for us, they are getting ready for the New Years party." Ella says. I hear footsteps banging against the stairs, and I can tell its Mrs.Hinger coming up to yell at us. I pull on a pair of dark blue jeans and a black and teal T-Shirt. Ella and I walk to the door and open it.
"Hello, ladies, we have been waiting for you downstairs." Mrs. Hinger says.
"Yes Ma'am" Ella and I say together.
We make our way downstairs and Ella points to two empty seats at the table so we sit down.
"Today it is Ella's turn to lead us in prayer." Mrs.Hinger announces. Ella rises from her chair and begins the prayer.
"Dear Lord, thank you for our friends and our food, please help us in the new year to become better people, and to follow our hearts, in your name we pray, Amen."
"Amen." The Orphans reply. The chef brings out ham and cheese omelettes, with a side of yogurt, and orange juice.
" I love the New Years meal." Ella exclaims
" Me too" I agree. Shortly after our meal, Me, Ella, and a few others, begin decorating for the New Years party. Ella and I won't be attending the orphanage party because sconce we are both sixteen, we have the option to go to our school party.
Once Ella and I finish decorating, we go get ready for our high school party. We race upstairs and get out our outfits. I wear a black lace dress and Ella wears a pink dress. We take a selfie , then head out the door and run towards our school.
