I ran through the forest without looking back. I can hear it coming closer and closer to catching me and tearing me apart. I tried to find a place to hide or someone who can help me, but there are only trees surrounding me. My feet are getting tired and I have cuts all over my body where the limbs ripped through my skin as I passed by them.

Where is Fynn?

He was supposed to meet me at our favorite spot in the Chardon forest near the biggest oak tree in the woods. I waited for him until it became dark. I was walking away to go back to my home when I heard a deep growl from behind the brush a few yards away. I knew there were things in the woods that I didn't understand. Fynn warned me from being out here on my own, but he's the one who left me out here by myself!

I didn't have any more time to ponder in the past, because the creature came into focus in front of me. I had to slide to a stop before I could turn around and run the other direction. The beast stood 6 feet tall with matted brown fur. There were dark orbs in place of eyes on the monster's head. The mouth was wide open getting ready to tear me apart with rotting teeth and stained blood all over his snout. The creature was a mixture of a huge bear and wolf. I crutched down into a fetal position ready to die, when I heard a scream for me to run. I looked up and saw Fynn attacking the beast with a long knife, trying to save me. He has always been there for me when I needed him the most. I was staring in awe at my savior, when he looked back and screamed at me again.

"RUN THORA! RUN!"

I got up from my spot and ran in a random direction away from the scene behind me. I hope Fynn makes it out all right. He never shows fear in his eyes when facing hard times, and I don't think he is going to start now. I know he will make it out alive; he always does. I ran past the big oak tree and decided to climb it to see if I could get a better view without being in harms way. I tried to find a good branch to sit on so I could peer through the trees.

I lifted myself up to look over the branch, but slipped on the bark and fell to the ground. Someone came over to me and asked if I was all right. My vision went black but I knew it was Fynn. I felt myself slowly slip into unconsciousness. The last thing I heard from him was that he would see me soon.

I woke up with a huge headache in my bed. I groaned to myself when I saw that it was 7:02. I always sleep through my alarm and today was no different. I got out of bed and checked myself over. There were no scrapes or wounds on me like I thought there would have been.

This happens every night. I will go to sleep and dream so vividly that I believe I'm in a whole other world, but when I wake up, I am forced back into reality.
