Chapter One

70 2 1

Hey everyone!

So this is my sequel to 1000 Words, I really wanted to do this because I feel like I got really good characters in the last book and I just wanted to carry on and delve deeper into the characters. This is in Kendall's point of view, as I felt like I didn't really write her into the first book, and she was one of my favourite characters. So, I really hope you enjoy this story! If you haven't read 1000 Words yet then you should probably go read it as I will probably make a lot of references to that story, but if you haven't then it probably won't matter! But, enjoy!

'Kendall. Kendall! KENDALL ROSE JENNINGS GET YOUR BUTT OUT OF BED NOW! You're going to be late for your first day of college!'

I rolled over in bed and sleepily rubbed my eyes, slowly opening them to the sound of my older sister's voice and the light being flicked on and off impatiently.

'Jeez Sophie! Calm down already- OW!' I tried to calm her down but I was greeted by a stuffed teddy in my face. 'Gee thanks.' I muttered sarcastically before assuring her that I was up and shooing her out of my room.

God, she's annoying. Only 3 years older than me but she acts like mum. Forever swishing her brunette locks and batting her eyelashes, wrapping people round her little finger. She's 19 now, shouldn't she be moving put soon? At least then I'll get her bedroom.

I turned to my wardrobe and grabbed the outfit I'd chosen last night; a pair of faded black skinny jeans, maroon lace t-shirt with matching vest underneath, black leather jacket and my black hi-top converse. Add my trademark infinity pendant (a gift from Evie in year 8), two black studs in each ears and a beaded black bracelet ( a gift from Phil in year nine) and I was pretty much ready to face the day!

Well, I still have to wat and stuff so...

After eating my cornflakes quickly, I raced upstairs to try and get in the bathroom before-

Nope. Sophie's in the bathroom already. Great.

'Mum!' I yelled down the spiral staircase to where my mum and dad were sat watching the morning news.

'Yes dear?' Came her naturally cheery reply.

'Sophie's in the bathroom and I need to leave soon!' I moaned, stamping my foot like a two year old having a temper tantrum.

'Aw sweetie, use my en-suite if you want, me and your dad are both finished in there now!' Mum offered, I could hear her smiling while she talked. You know what I mean? Like, you can hear it in someone's voice when they smile... Forget it.

'Thanks mum! You're a legend!' I shouted happily, before running into my room, grabbing my make up and wash bags and sprinting down the hall to my parent's master bedroom.

I army-rolled over their queen size bed made up with a feather down duvet and six pillows along with the ones they slept on. My reflection stared back at me from the full length mirrors on the wardrobes lining a whole wall.

Pushing open the door, the sparkle of my parents' private bathroom almost took my breath away. The dolphin taps on the sink and bath shimmered in the light of the chandelier. There's a walk in shower, jacuzzi and large make up cabinet too. I think this en-suite is actually bigger than the main bathroom...

Anyway, I laid my bags down on the marble cabinet (which, by the way, matches the flooring) and got to work, scrubbing my teeth for 4 minutes before washing my face with my Freederm facewash. When I finished I applied my usual make up: foundation, winged eyeliner, slight blusher and my favourite pineapple lip gloss. Pulling my hair into a loose side plait, I decided I was finally ready.
