Before The Nerd Goes Away

I always start my day with my annoying obnoxious alarm going off currently at 6:00am its time to hop in the hot shower and wash my body that seems to stink all the time. I only do this 3 times a week due to my laziness of not wanting to always wake up at 6 to shower and wash my hair since the bus comes at 7:00. A girl needs her sleep more than anything. When I hoped out my hot shower I walked over to my closet.  I pulled out some random black and white plad pants with my favorite long sleeve pokadot shirt that's all the colors of the rainbow. I can wait to see Alec today like always because he's my only friend who doesn't bully or beat me up like everyone else. He's one of the popular kids.

"Darlin! don't forget to brush your teeth and wash your face! Have a great day at school honey!" my mom calls out before leaving for work. The only thing about that is... my mom doesn't know I get bullied and pushed around 24/7. I can't tell her because back in her days she was the popular girl in her school and everyone liked her. She would tell me stories about how all boys were after her and dad was a nerd. She was failing in french so she had to get a mentor. He asked her if she wanted him to mentor her and she said yes. She went to his house everyday to get mentored finding out more and more about him as she fell in love with him gradually over 4 years of mentoring, helping her keep an "A" in that class since it was the only one she struggled with but couldn't get the confidence to ask him to be her boyfriend. Sooner or later he got down on one knee before prom proposing to her in French with a promise ring and she knew exactly what he was saying thanks to him. So if I told my mom ' hey mom your daughter gets bullied at school, no one likes her. She'll never be like how you were in high school, Boohoo my mom would probably disown me.

Before leaving the house I suck my hand in my sock draw pulling out 2 mismatch socks and paired them with my brown crocks. I slipped my big boxed, cheetah print, glasses on before check in the mirror of how bad my hair looks as usual.

There goes Alec out side to pick me up for school. I rush down stairs picking up my hello kitty book bag. I lock the door behind me before walking to his car. Shoot I forgot to brush my teeth and put on deodorant , guess im having another smelly onions day and hot dog breath. Oh well, dont judge me.

"Hey Em" Alec greets me with my nickname for my middle name all the time. He wanted something else to call me than what everyone else doesn't called me. The only thing about that is no one ever calls me karma kylie they call me Crappy Kylie. That name has stuck with me since I was in 7th grade but now im in 11th grade with the same nickname.

"Hey Alec"I hop in his car and close the door smelling his aroma of axe.

"So how was school yesterday when I was out sick with a cold" He took his eyes off the road for a quick second to take a glance at me.

"Just fine, almost perfect" I lied. Lying kills your brain cells as my mom would say if she thought I was lying to her.

"Emma...How was school really? Were Aaron and his group mess with you again?" He knew I was lying because my voice seems to go high pitched or I blush hard when I'm lying but only he knew that, After all he is my only friend.
