So this jerk NomorereasonDarkus told me he needed help and I said I'd write something for him.
He made the point of this moot, but whatever. Without further ado...

"Musings of friendship."

About a year ago or so, I was in an RP group. It was my first experience with such a thing, and it was okay at best. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. I sticked around purely cause I had nothing better to do with my life around then.

Then two assholes joined the group and changed my perspective on RP-styles. Of course, they clashed with the group often. One even sparking a very one-sided war. But in all that, I became (very haphazardly at first) friends with them.

My first impressions were mixed, I originally thought one would be a very big edgelord (I mean he kinda is but that image is ruined once you see his reactions through JoJo memes and Fairy Tail sap) and the other to be really cool and lev- HA! I was so wrong that I would actually slap past me for the thought.

Furthermore, through the adventure we had from then on we got to know each other, and form actual bonds. And even though things aren't exactly how they were then, I don't think that our friendship has exactly weakened. Hell, it feels stronger.

Either way, enough of my rambling I need to get down to what I initially wrote this for. Why Darkus stopped writing, and why he resumed.
Good note, this is literally just some musing and no real reasons. If the man wants to tell you the exact, he'll say. Now please enjoy my MatPat impression.

When someone begins to write, they have little to no expectations. They just do it for the hell of it. But as it grows and some people read and enjoy it, a writer's general expectation grows. They want to provide more for their readers, provide a new standards for their skills. All fueled by passion.
My friend had gotten to a point where he had no one to provide for, no standard to raise to or above, and no passion to fuel his engine of sorts. And as such, as harsh as this might sound, he just gave up. And that was it.

As for why he recently returned? Just as simple. Writers don't necesarrily stop thinking about scenarios, and when the right one comes into mind and the right desire is ignited in their heart. Then boom, passion is made and their hand goes into action. And I'm happy for him. Maybe he'll even answer my questions for the plotholes in E-

Whats that noise? Oh god... is that Darkus?! I must have gotten somethi- OH BOY.
I GOTTA RUN, SEE YOU GUYS HOPEFULLY AGAIN!
