Ariana's stomach was in a not. She didn't know what to say. Mac looked over at Ariana. She looked as if she was going to pass out. Mac began to feel worried. "So, um, do you guys want to come in" Taylor asked. "Actually I think we should get going because it's getting really late" Ariana said trying to come up with an excuse to leave. "Oh, okay. See you around then" Taylor said to them. "Yup, that sounds great. Bye" Ariana says. "Bye" Taylor says as she slowly shuts the door. Ariana sighs. That was a close one Ariana thinks to herself. Mac puts his arm around her as they walk home. "Well that was a shocker" Mac says to Ariana. "Yeah. I can't believe Ricky is back" Ariana said. Suddenly she paused. She remembered what he did to her that night. The table. The knifes. The tears. The screaming. The end. Ariana started to feel her eyes fill with water. She choked back her tears to Mac didn't see her cry. Mac began to think. The more he thought the more he remembered his break up with Taylor. He looked over at Ariana to distract himself. He noticed a single tear dripping out of her eye, down her cheek, and onto her jacket.
He wiped her tear away. "Baby, its over. He can't hurt you anymore. I won't let him." Mac told her. He could see the pain in her eyes. "Listen, Ariana, what he did to you I will never ever hurt you like that. Do you understand? I love you. That may be the only thing he never told you but Ricky, he is the past. He'll never harm you again" Mac told Ariana. Ariana breathed. "I love you Mac" Ariana said to him. "I love you too" Mac said to her. Ariana knew Mac was more then a boyfriend. He is her best friend, soulmate and a solider. Not just any soldier, her soldier. When they got inside Ariana sat on the couch and took out her phone. Ariana opened up the Instagram icon. She felt sick to her stomach seeing a couple selfie of Ricky and Taylor. Ariana new what she should do. "Mac" Ariana yells. "Yeah baby" Mac says back. "Let's take a selfie together" Ariana said. "Okay" Mac said. Ariana picked up her phone and snapped a selfie.

Can't let Ricky have all the fun. Ariana thought to herself. Mac saw Ariana post the selfie. "Sweet, a revenge selfie" Mac says. Ariana laughed. "Yeah, I like that" Ariana said. The next morning when Ariana woke up she checked her phone. Their "revenge" selfie has almost half a million likes! As she scrolled through her feed she noticed that tmz, et, and clevver news has already reported about the "revenge" selfie. Around 11:00 Mac and Ari hit the town. As soon as they got out of Mac's car tons of paparazzi were standing around taking photos of them. Ariana laughed. "Well, guess we got fans" Ariana said. Mac smiled. "We sure do" Mac said. Ariana laughed. "Let's go to Starbucks" Ariana suggested. "Good idea" Mac said grabbing her hand. They each got caramel frappe chinos. They Ari and Mac stood up against a wall and relaxed for a little while. Snap. The paparazzi snap a picture.

"Well now we are definitely in the spotlight" Mac said. Ariana nodded. "We are in the spotlight indeed". She said smiling.
